Listening to his auidio book today it was fantastic

I saw Gary a couple times performing at the formula USA races in Pocono Pennsyvania back in 1999 +2000, to this day there has not been anyone I have ever seen who could stunt so naturally as Gary. To anyone who didn't get a chance to see his live performances you really missed out , this man is a true stunt legend.

Remember watching him on vhs my dad was into bikes bigtime we built a GSXR1100 street fighter together called it the wheelie wagon. I was too young to ride it but dad let me choose the paint and decals it was an 1127cc and I suggested we have GSXR1127 he went for it it was such a cool build , Vance and Hines pipe , loads of anodised fittings , k&ns it won a street fighter comp in Ireland. Good times ! RIP dad x

I remember chatting to Gary at Laguna Seca, he was doing a bit of practice near the motorhome. The slabby Gixxer with the West coast shields on it, iconic bike, that's a long time ago now! Good to see he is still in one piece after everything he did! Really a top man, and so down to earth, unlike people who jumped on the stunting bandwagon like Pauly Sherer of LVX who was an arrogant little pri...... Hope you find a way to do that wheelie attempt and snatch back the record, that would be a fitting way to hang up the leathers,

Not taking anything from gary! I love that he said patriks the real ghostrider an not a fake but when he said he was the one who said the fastest wheelie should be over a over a mile/kilometre is when i lost a bit of respect, only cause ive watched that video hundreds of times an i know that was patriks whole argument to gary on why garys wheelies didnt "qualify" as the fastest cause he was popping it up at the last second an not riding it through the gears like patrik was. 14:10 - 14:50 still nuts doing it at those speeds! but come on man gary was there an so were the tv cameras but they didnt bend the truth to suit like he just did 😅

In all fairness, I've seen your battle for fastest wheelie against Patrick Furstenhoff back in the days and it was Patrick that said his preferred style was going through the gearbox with the frontwheel well of the ground and that a real wheelie should be at least 300ft to count.He didn't like your style, cause you only lifted the front about a foot at the finishline for a short distance.If anything...it's Patricks style that spurred you on to get even better.Anyway, you need skill and balls of steel to do what you guys do...220mph wheelies.That's insane !!!

I’ll never forget how Plato got that seat with the Williams BTCC team… hung around outside the Team HQ literally begging for a moment of the boss’s time… persuaded the boss to give him a lap, then shone on the track bright enough to earn a seat for the season. Talk about dedication and grit.
