More often than not, in case of words that end with "..ig" or "..ich" you outright swallow the g or ch. So "richtig" sounds like "richti..", "sportlich" can sound like "sportli.."

accents are cool only for those people who do not have an accent. I do not like when people speak English with a foreign accent. I was looking for some car reviews videos from native speakers of American English and when I stumble into the Germans speaking English or Indians, that's pretty annoying to be honest, especially when they swallow endings and talking indistinclty. I figured this is because I am not a native speaker myself. Everyone has their preferences. It's normal.

We are manipulated in many ways without even knowing this goes for food prices and the imagery shown in restraunts and they also use brighter colors to pull in customers or even reviews.

Brought to me by the YT algorithm. I was apprehensive. Turns out, rightfully so. I can't judge the other dialects, but I can only speculate that if you get those about as badly as Bavarian - which I *can* judge, being born and bred there - then I suspect native speakers from those other areas would also not be impressed. That's before we even talk about the regional distinctions (Ober- vs Nieder-Bairisch for example). Your Bavarian sounds like that of a "zuagroaste" - someone who has lived in Bavaria, around Munich for years and adopted the "cosmopolitan Bavarian" while immediately showing that you're not native. Oh well, I'm perhaps not one to talk: at least your dialect doesn't have an American/Australian accent like mine does nowadays. Which hurts the ears of my friends and family even more. 😆 For anybody interested, I'd give one of videos by Bavarian stand-up comedian Monika Gruber a try. While she generally speaks "stage Bavarian" for her audience, every so often she slips into deepest, darkest Ur-Bairisch, which is a delight to hear and you can tell that some of her audience suddenly really wish for subtitles. 🤣

Hallo Trixi, errinerst du dich an den deutschen Kanzler Helmut Kohl aus den 1980er? Das britische Fernsehen und Zeitungen hat seinen Namen nie auf englisch uebersetzt weil auf englisch "Herr Kohl" wird "Mr Cabbage".

Americans are definitely influenced by celebrity culture . Seeking attention and constant effort to stand out by talking louder or extreme exaggerations and non stop complaints ( mostly fake) are part of culture . Nothing wrong but That’s why it’s much harder to fit in if you didn’t grew up in the US . :)

Quality of education in North American public schools is very poor. That's why some of the population struggles with spelling and grammar.
