went there opening day, best time 18.6s, had a yellow on almost every lap though, also went for the extra $5 for the camera footage, well worth it to watch afterwards and relive it haha how did you get them to turn the power up? was it much faster?

They just did it, not sure why. Made about 0.5sec per lap difference.

went there yesterday, dont get much track time compared to other centres. also this is not Victorias first electric go kart centre. Also id recommend you change the hertz frequency on your camera so it doesnt get the flicker , i learnt that from a subscriber last year.

@@CLUBBY261 interesting. Did seem quite expensive. I knew it wasn’t the first in Australia or Eastern Australia but thought it was first in Victoria? Anyway, these were the cameras and footage they supplied so didn’t have any control over the footage sadly.

@addictedtosliding oh ok you used there's, when I turned my gopro on it started doing the flickering so changed the settings and fixed it. I uploaded a vid last night of my only go on there. Think High Voltage was the first in vic prob 8 or so years ago only lasted few years before shutting up. then there is a little place in braybrook that opened up last year as well. And now new one opening in thomastown end of the month

I drove the later update version of the i30N sedan, also DCT, ready to buy and was surprised that I found my i20N more fun in the real world. Part of that might be the detuning of the 2L to 15psi reported recently, perhaps Euro emissions? The i30n was quieter and more sophisticated to drive but lacked the hot hatch feel of my current car which was over $20,000 less to buy. I agree the 2L in the i20N would be great but they have recently cracked the i20N ECU and have full access for tuning which was limited to piggy backs until now. The big ace the 1.6L has up it's sleeve is the never mentioned unique CVVD valve configuration which allows the dwell angle of the intake camshaft to vary. This engine has a lot more power tucked away waiting to be exploited but it's certainly very capable as it is with great economy probably due to that CVVD.

The i20N is an absolutely awesome package and another 15-20kW would certainly bring it to life and I've no doubt the engine could easily support it. Thanks for watching/commenting!

A happy European owner of i20N here. I managed to buy one in March after they shut down the N division production for Europe (I do not consider the Ioniq 5 N the worthy descendat of now deceased European N division). I have to say I love the car, it is so much fun and easy to drive proper little hot hatch. And I agree that it likely has some reserves tucked away as far as the performance, but even as stock 150 kW configuration it is a little beast. So happy I made the purchase while I still could. :)

Yep pretty much. Go in as deep as you dare with maybe a light brake then let tyre scrub wash off the required speed, though usually a little bit of throttle is required to keep the speed up. I think at least.

That shouldnt be enough to overheat the brakes. I guarantee you that esp was still somewhat active and was working non stop on the brakes overheating them.

In Baja mode ESP off is ESP off. There's no temp sensor on the brakes so it guesses depending on how the car is being driven and the warning is there to ensure you don't actually cook the brakes.

Looks fun. You have a huge weight disadvantage though. However (my advise), stop surging your throttle. Keep it steady and avoid letting off. Also, curves are deceptive. Find the straightest line through them with the least turning possible. Having said that, great job.
