Well that's on way to get the water flowing. Good on you for being able to hold the camera and film it. I would have thrown the camera in the toolbox and gripped the steering wheel tight with both hands until I was clear of that mess. Seems like there is rarely a dull moment while working on the farm. @@rodder2046 LOL. Well it's been a few years since water has run there but I used to use my old spra-coupe and just cut a track with that. You sink so far and then hit solid. I suppose that's the old plow pan or something. Yep, I got her sprayed off before the mud dried.

Hay looks good. I've had to replace some of those finger guides on the combine pickup auger. The metal ones are no longer available and I've had to go to the plastic ones. And there are different sizes.

Obviously the last three or four it hasn't had anything go through it but this year with all the rain we've had stuff is flowing. Have a good week.

@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin that runs out of the neighbors. It's always been wet way up on their side forever. However, water never would make it that far to my field. It just soaked back into the ground somewhere up above. Well sometime in the last 10+- years it started running through there. I think the neighbors might have dug a little straighter ditch so now water runs instead of just sitting. When I had the spray coop I would just cut a track with the sprayer just like I did with the 3010. Keeps that water from meandering all over and flooding out a large area versus a little track a foot wide. I should have done it a long time ago but you know how that goes. That's the long explanation version.

@@thecamocowboyoutdoors5693yes a front tire is way easier and cheaper to fix. That is an H&S rake. It does okay I guess. It works best to go across the swath than with it, but in the long narrow ones I usually try to rake it heads first if that makes sense. So the tops of the hay is going into the rake first. It picks it up better that way. And I had to add some kicker wheels in the middlel because otherwise the middle never gets fluffed up at all and then the baler won't pick it all up.

I think it is the hex shaft slipping inside of that hex bearing just a tiny bit and makes the noise. It quit now so we'll see if it shows up for third. A bigger rake would be nice in lighter stuff. Rowse makes a 27 wheel for around $63,000

Hey, now it's playing... Interesting about the belt, on the old gleaners.. the 6600 and 7700 Deere's if I remember correctly, didn't.. but after a few years, we got smart. 2, 9/16" wrenches and pull the knives out.. we raked all the straw anyway.

I used to just take the chopper off on those. That's kind of a pain to put back on. It's a two-man job anyway. I believe they say this prevents it from getting plugged up with chaff and dust and stuff but so what? If it's not turning, who cares.

We got some at husker harvest days once and I put them in big pots and they were doing good but we had a puppy then and they got eaten. Now cedars will grow anywhere. We slotted some of those in the brome sod and never came back. I think they all grew and are 20' tall now.

Yes, the 6620 has that, but my 643 corn head is new enough to have had the change made to give the reverser room. The 920 grain head is good.

Alter it to make it fit. Farmers are good at that. No hail here yet this year but I wouldn't mind another rain to cool things down. The last 3 days it's been 90 Fahrenheit or hotter. Today it hit 95. That old head was modified to do oats and now it's modified to fit this combine. Hopefully that heat brews you up some rain. After the hail it was a cool 57°. Thanks for stopping in.

There was massive storms that came through upstate NY with tornado warnings. I think there was actually a few that touchdown heavy rains wind trees knocked down. All we got was 6/10 of an inch because the majority of it split and went north and south of us. I’m glad I didn’t get any of the nasty shit, but I sure would’ve liked a good inch of rain.

I'm kind of glad I cut that little itty bitty patch of oats cuz yeah we got hail here that night. That would have knocked all the grain out. My other crops missed it but my garden didn't. Poor watermelon and cucumber looks like it's been shot with a 12 gauge.

Oats looks pretty good. Those metal pickup teeth 😳 I stepped down from the engine compartment on the 7700 we had, on the back of the pickup header, on to the auger... Thank couplers were already uncoupled. Right onto a tooth!! Right through my boot, into my heal. Doc freaked out 15 years later when they took an X-ray... Nice chip out of my heal.. Lmao 😆😂, yup, 2 years... Five it is....

Those 10 series are pretty good ones. Can't help you with the PTO. We haven't had trouble with this one yet other than tightening the PTO clutch lever a bit. That bull is 6. His sire is out of Alberta. I kinda like him he's pretty long.
