The first part of the video did not show the same type of autochoke as the second part. You should have been consistent with the type of autochoke. You also could have heated the autochoke mechanism with a hot air gun to show it in action. Sorry, I was not impressed.

Good mowers i got a 500e exactly like this for free because the deck was rusted out so i went to the dump got a old broken mower with the same three bolt engine pattern ripped the engine off cleaned it down and then put the good 500e engine on it with some nice new blades and its a one pull start and an absolute work horse never let me down i think the front of it said victa corvette 500 and the engine was identical to this but the 500e version

I have watched a video on cleaning lawnmower carburetors and can tell you that I have fixed many mowers by using these same techniques. When a lawnmower sits over the winter the gas can go bad and clog the carburetor. Thanks for this video .😊

Hello sir i am genuinely curious as to how you determined that this quantum has excellent compression? Did you use a compression tester? If so what value is good? To me I have tested mowers with below 30 psi that run?

Personally i soak the foam filters in dish soap for at least a day. Also, do not forget to lightly saturate the foam filter in oil otherwise it is not very effective at trapping dirt.

Sir please remove that metal heat shield cover over the boot of the spark plug this can cause weak and intermittent spark due to preventing plug from connecting securely

I have the exact mower and i found the best practice is to turn the fuel tap off while it's running when you're done mowing, it prevents the fuel bowl rusting out.

Thanks for this. I wouldn't have thought to remove the panel covering the governer and linkages. Makes it so much easier. Appreciate your effort.

If you take off the bowl of the carby first and drop the wheels in the lowest setting you do not have to take the wheel off. It will just clear it

its still easy to find any part for victa 2 stroke powertorque mower. you can get anything

The 2 strokes are just great for power and torque and can produce much higher suction. The 4 stroke hondas are very heavy and dont have anywhere near the grunt as the 2 stroke

lawnmowers do have to be well maintained but it can get tricky as often these machines are laid up often in damp condition in a shed .a good clean especially of any damp grass can greatly help as can the sparing use of oil can and rag.

that metal plate is for getting more or less RPM that is conectet to your gas lever so you can move it depending how much RPM you need, and the other part of the spring is conectet to the governor that is controlling your minimum RPM. (As an example if if your engine RPM is droping because of the high grass your governor will open your throtle and give more gas to rise your RPM)

Mine blows a bit of smoke each time I start it up but then it stops within seconds and the oil quantity is OK.
