I know, what if the March of the Toy Soldiers involved Toy Soldiers?

I find it admirable, that although his German was really bad, he really tried to communicate with German musicians in their own language...much better than James Levine, who always spoke English,...despite Lennie's terrible German, the players really knew what he wanted just by his soul...he was one with Mahler, and the musicians knew this, no matter what language he spoke...he spoke Mahler...what a great human being!

Étonnant. Un peu plus lent que la version de Herbert von karman. Aussi beau.

I like the ending of this version. The power of love has won the evil. And the couple are married in the heaven. The story is closed with a hope.

Masterpiece! Probably the first classical music tape I bought when I was so young that I can't remember when... As a choral bass singer, just hoping to sing it one day, at least once in my lifetime

Wow. Gotta appreciate music man. I really don’t understand people when they say they can’t stand this music. When they use the phrase “the art of music” I believe it should only be in reference to something like this.

Ballet at its Finest!!! Both Principal dancers are A-Mazing. Musicality, performance, technique, all serving the art of ballet and not to show off on a personal level. So motivating and emotional.

Btw is so sad Rusia is blocked …no flights there….From almost nowhere no airlines to fly to Moscow or saint pete….of course the US gets mad when China or Rusia even think on putting troops in Cuba or any American continent country, but when the US puts troops near Rusia of course is war…….until when?

I would love to see a televised concert honoring the memory of Slovakian-born operatic and classical-crossover soprano Patricia Janeckova, who died of cancer at a tragically young age. I would like this concert to include selections from the Requiems of Mozart, Verdi, Dvorak and Faure plus Britten's WAR REQUIEM.

in mozart's time, i believe that music was all much quicker than we expect it today. nevertheless this is a very powerful recording, but personally i prefer the drama of bernstein's recording, although the choir is undoubtedly more powerful here which I do like.
