Hey great video! Im looking to go with prime or Roehl as well and so thankful for this video. I’m leaning more towards Roehl. How’s their trucks? Are you enjoying your experience? I like with Roehl that they give you your own truck in phrase 3 whereas prime I don’t think they just give you a truck when you’re done.

I drive for Roehl, I did my CDL training in Appleton, WI. Good company so far, I’m in phase 2, it’s 112 a day.

I been wanting to be a trucker for years but i could never afford it 7 grand at my local community college. 3 weeks ago i was chilling in a walmart parking lot waiting for a order i deliver for walmart in my car and a pickup truck pulls up on me with a sign on the side that says cdl training.... I look into it only 1100 for everything i signed up the same day. Brand new school and everything im about to get my permit wish me luck on this journey felt stuck my whole life I know this is life changing career.

He isnt kidding about the large amount of information. The pre trip and in cab are very intimidating but you will learn it. Driving is the easy part

I just got my CDL A with Roehl. I highly recommend them. It's a grind. Be ready to work, especially in the Georgia sun

Getting my interview on Tuesday to start the get my cdl program...just found you videos i appreciate your insight and advice....i like the semi local sounds like my cup of tea...how is the pay at Roehl...just to ask ... havnt really seen and reviews on this ... Being a new driver at 50 and self employed 30 years kinda nervous on the pay part...safe travels brother...

I average 1200 a 1600 weekly. However, I make more now compared to when I was doing 2500 - 3000 as my pay is significantly higher with short hauls.

I'm at Roehl now finished my first week and they are an amazing company. VERY safety focused. Top tech, new trucks, and the Georgia terminal training staff is top notch. Shout out to Rush, Tony, Obey, Vince, and Doug. These guys teach you everything you need to do well. Just shut up and listen

It depends on what type of driver your trainer is, if she/he is regional you will be on their schedule .

Have to pass a DOT physical which covers basic health about the same a a yearly checkup. Lookup DOT physical requirements for a list of the details.

I've had someone tell me not to go to Roehl and pay for it myself so I'm not a slave to a company for a year.... like I'm a slave now not being a trucker lol people are wild. I've got 1 and a half months left before I take the dot physical and drug test and get my cdl permit. Been studying for it just to keep it fresh 😂

I’m home every week so my shutdown is Friday evening to Monday at home. If you’re over the road your shut down could be anywhere and you have to shutdown for 34 hours.

How much does prime pay per day for the first part of the school? So I know how much to budget for school. Is there a stove in the kitchen to cook meals?

Prime pays 900 per week during training.. but double check that to see if anything has changed. I’m. It sure about the hotel rooms and the stove situation.

@michaelzambrano8418 You get a 200 dollar advance every week until your tnt phase after aquiring your cdl that you pay back at 25 a week. It only takes 2-3 weeks to obtain your cdl then you'll switch to 900 a week gross during your tnt phase of 50k miles.
