I was raised in west TN and my father had spring and fall tickets to Bristol Motor Speedway from 85 - 2005. We also went to tracks all over the south, Talladega/Daytona/Myrtle Beach/Charlotte/Atlanta speedways and even a road trip to Phoenix Motor Speedway between my 2nd and 3rd grade year. When I was young and able to comprehend things as a preteen, Earnhardt was on fire, Bill Elloit, Davey Allison, Dick Trickle, Bobby/Terry Labonte, Mark Martin, and the Rainbow Warrior "The Kid" Jeffrey Gordon was firing on all cylinders. Stadiums sold out at every venue. When I say Dale Earnhardt senior was loved, you have no idea.... as a young man I couldn't believe the roar he got from the crowd. There were all these "Pomp and Circumstance" attractions or events if you will. The day of or the night before the race, each driver would be driven around the track at about 3 - 5 mph in a duel wheel pick up truck with the driver and his family or sugar baby of the time in the truck bed interacting with the crowd. The amount of hate and boos that Jeff Gordon got was crazy, but when Dale Sr. aka the Intimidator would come around in those big dark shades and leather jacket in the back of that truck... the crowd would be on their feet jam packed overcome with joy screaming with deafening cheers to show the love and support for their driver. What a time to be alive. Thank you Dale Earnhardt Sr. for all the memories and crazy things I've seen you perform on the track over the years. May your soul live on posthumously. One <3

You could put a gun to Ken Schrader's head and he ain't ever going to tell you what he saw in that car, even if we all can kinda guess. Bless Kenny the crypt keeper.

I hated Dale Earnhardt as a Jeff Gordon Fan. It was devastating to hear Gordon's Rival was gone after this crash. When I first saw it crash, I thought it was just a normal Crash didn't think anything of it. I was leaving my house the second the emergency crew approached his Car. My thought was he got hurt during the crash. I didn't find out that Dale died until the next day when my Dad told me. He told me that Dale unfortunately never got out of his Car after he crashed and his head struck the steering wheel from a loose seatbelt
