Great video Caleb. Love how you set the waypoints with onX, and showed the use of the app on screen. Going to be featuring onX as well in future videos, it is definitely much easier to use than other options out there. Enjoy these times with your family - rain or shine bud!

What a fun time. Great camping spot too. Nice promo for On X. Will have to check them out. That root cellar/smokehouse structure was interesting. You might try the Gaia Historic layer maps to find more info at the location of those ruins. They go back to the 1900's.

Also Eliza was not a witch. She was simply widowed young. See, as the town itself "Mayfield" was beginning to grow into itself Eliza and her husband preferred to build their house off a bit yonder from the village's main peremeter. Now, when her husband died, she just fell to pieces and kept to herself in their small cabin.. she has a friend in the main village part of Mayfield, and as many as hand full of folk"s tried to convince her to move closer near them but she refused and continued to maintain living there until her death. And as the story goes, She remains where she is that lonely grave because she simply passed away right there. Word has it, snow was so darn bad during the days she passed away they just left her be on account they just couldn't' get her to the graveyard.
@BakerOverland13 күн бұрын
That makes sense to me. Thanks for sharing!
@martinezgirljs13 күн бұрын
If you started your video/adventure thing that your doing, at the Mayfield cemetery itself, then you well know you already passed Eliza's grave in doing so. Stop playing... You said you didn't keep directions exactly where her exact grave was last time you were here, but you gonna keep going on and hope for the best. Then your footage of your journey to find the grave was about 20 miles back tracked back over to where the whole river side is, by the bridge you have to pass when you originally came in and went to the cemetery. That being said, you have now not only passed Eliza's grave once, but now twice. And are now heading there thrice . You can't get to Mayfield cemetery without passing right by Eliza. Why did you want people to think you were going on a bigger adventure than you are. Weird.
@BakerOverland13 күн бұрын
Great observations! I actually started making the video several weeks before the opening shots at Mayfield. We shot the entire thing at night but sadly I lost all the footage. So I reshot everything a few weeks later during the day. The first thing I shot was Eliza’s grave. However, I edited the video out of sequence in order for the story to flow better. When I film the projects I go into them with a shot list but do not always shoot chronologically. Some of the shots in this video aren’t even in Missouri! (The river shot I’m driving by is in Arkansas actually). I love that you noticed and commented on that. You sound like the type of person that would understand and do well in film production. Thank you for watching and commenting.
