Yes, unfortunately the driver didn't calculate the exit speed at the bottom of the carousel very well and lost lap position. It was pretty funny.

I don't want to spend the $ on 6 wireless controllers at this point. The track isn't getting much usage currently. We'll see how things go this winter.

Thank you. They are nice looking cars and they handle quite well too. On any system that doesn't use a turbo button, they should work great. In my experience, none of these cars get any faster with usage. There is a slow but measurable decrease in lap times with wear over time. These rally cars use the same size motor as Carrera cars (if I remember correctly, and may use the same pinion gears. The crowns rarely wear out. If your is running rough, check out the gear mesh. Sometimes you may need to push the pinion up or down the shaft if it is not installed correctly. The motors can also come loose from their holding clips so make sure it is pressed down and locked in place first.

Yes, the Capri driver was confused as to which car he was driving because 3 of the 4 cars were predominately white in color.. I was the one driving the Lancia, rather impatiently, trying to catch up to the leader, which was the red Ford GT.

Yes it was, especially since I was the one driving the Lancia. Every time I started to get a run on the leading car (red Ford GT) either I crashed or one of the other 2 cars took me out. It was a hoot.

We have tried the "last man standing" type of game too, but it seems that it led to more even cars getting bumped off the track from behind. We are not really counting laps here. I'm just jokingly commenting the play-by-play because I see the red Ford GT keeps leading the pack of hornets around as they keep crashing. I am driving the Lancia, and every time I start to get a run on the GT, either I crash or one of the other 2 cars take me out. LOL We had a blast.

Yep last man standing is ok but having a shorter race with counting laps and then leaving the cars on the track if they crashed makes for a fun experience. Not my idea but I saw it on Latvia's videos and they had a blast!🏁

The crashing is fairly common but not the re-slotting. Every corner fence on this track has been hammered into submission.

It is an interesting car to drive and not near as good of a handler straight out of the box as one would expect from looking at it.

Yes, you can see some tape going into dead man's curve and there are some little bits at other curves as well which are not showing up on camera. I just do trial and error, adding tape and voltage until I reach terminal velocity. LOL

Thanks brother. Its one of the tunes included with the video editing software I've been using. The music had a much better groove than my driving.

You have a heck of an eye to be able to recognize the X-Bow in this fuzzy video. That is amazing.

Thanks, brother. The secret to this drone video is that I'm using generic brand cars from AliExpress which have a larger magnet than Carrera cars. I show a bunch of info. on this in my 1/43rd. scale playlist as I learn little tricks here and there. I also have taped over the power rails on the entrance to the tight corners so the cars don't get power for a bit to slow them at the right times to keep them on the track. You can see see some of the tape, especially at the entrance to Dead Man's Curve on the videos. I'm not driving any of these cars. They are just doing what I basically programed them to do, old school so I could make an interesting video series and learn more about shooting and editing.

@@PNWSlotcarDad Thank you. I've been adding more and better cameras and increasing my editing skills over time. It started out with just one old camera sitting in the middle of the track.

I love fast stuff too, and usually run 1/32. The crazy thing is that as these slot car scales get smaller, they get faster. I'm in the process of doing some semi-scratch builds of 1/24-1/25th. scale analog cars with the universal chassis and model car bodies so I can make some old American muscle cars to slide around until they smash. On the other hand, I run HO cars on both 1/43rd. scale and 1/24th. scale tracks for something completely different.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I did not referee the tailgating well enough to keep the lap counter from missing counts as 2 cars went through, nose to tail. It was mostly team Italia with its Lambos and one Ferraria which I missed a few times and screwed up the count. Lap times for all these cars are about 6.5 seconds when used as drones. I have squeezed lower drone times out of them though in my ultra-fast drone series, or if they have a driver.

Yes, someone was there just before me and had thrown out bread or something for the ducks. They were all full and happy.

It looks especially fast because I have this cheapo camera right near the track. I like the effect. It kind of gets me fired up to race.

That is an understatement. If you have not tried it yet, I highly recommend that you do, and video it too. The whole race strategy changes running so many cars on a 2 lane track with 3 lane changers. It becomes like a high speed chess match with moving targets. I've added more lane changers to my own Double Carousel of Doom and need to try another race with all the ghosts again, just for science. LOL. It was wild before, but now its going to be another step up.

Ha, Sometimes people have called me that as they walk by and see me at the park. I have had 10-20 squirrels all eating from my hand at times there simultaneously, but have yet to catch it on camera. I love all the wildlife around my area and enjoy making friends with the animals.
