That was fun. Cool to see some younger guys talking about that stuff. I got Damn the Torpedos when it came out and it's still one of my favourite records. Remember holding it up and looking at it in the record section of Sears in the mall!

My wife loved Tom Petty, and cried on the day he died. I just couldn't get into him. All of his songs sound the same to me.

The average winter temperature at the South Pole is about -49°C. Your home freezer is only about -15°C. The wind chill factor means that it can feel much colder. The lowest temperature ever recorded at the South Pole was - 82.8°C on the 23 June 1982.

Mudcrutch was actually Stan Lynch’s band. I got this from Tom when he was on Larry King and I spoke to him on the phone. Stan was actually in the band when it was called Road Turkey, they traveled to LA under that name. My Dad booked them on the last Gig in Gainesville at a private party.

Shackleton and Crean are my twin spirit animals. I have their portraits hanging in my man cave and when the going gets tough, I look toward them and remind myself of the vast odds the human spirit can overcome. Rest their noble souls.

I like to think that, in general, people don't know just how much they really love and appreciate Tom Petty. He was a big part of the backdrop of the American tapestry. The way you forget to appreciate the sunshine until it's been grey for a few days. We took him for granted. Maybe we didn't deserve him. What a blessing his music is in all our lives.

What you missed was that The Traveling Wilberys were a one of a kind happening. Never to be duplicated. This was due to George Harrison needing a prerequisited side B for his current single. However, you are accurate in that #3 did disapoint. I want to like your channel. So do other viewers.

Nah I won’t play apologetics for Sherman. Let’s be real, him nor Lincoln or most of Northern America did not give a shit about black Americans. They only cared when the Southern states pulled out of the Union as it hurt their economy and manufacturing capabilities. Sherman was blood thirsty and I give him the same treatment as I would Napoleon, Ghengis Khan and Attila the Hun. Very effective but very brutal and downright evil in their methods.
