I have very small lips as an adult I have a 7c mouthpiece which is 16.2 mm cup. I have read thin lips need a 15mm cup . What is the number for this size and where can I get one ?

As a tenor sax player, I personally think euphonium should proceed because the tenor sax is supposed to fit into the euphonium's sound. The same thing goes for bari sax. Then again, this was made five years ago and I don't know why I'm commenting on this.

if the sax is good, and it costs more to repair than to get a new one... then its just a great disposable horn isnt it say it costs 500$ and it lasts you 3 years. Say the selmer costs 8k$. You can have 48 years of knock off renewing until you spend 8k, plus if you need to repair the selmer thatll also add up. Thats why you gotta test both side to side on the video. Only thing i get from these PSA's is dont buy the selmer lol

Overrated and over-priced due to the misguided collector market. Definitely out of reach for the average musician. Modern saxophones are far superior to the old hand-hammered construction ones. Had a '57 VI for many years before selling it off. Don't miss it at all. cheers, Mark.

What modern horn do you play? I will say that most modern horns play good; really good. But those older ones have something about it’s sound that’s hard to match even though they come with quirks lol

@@XavierJordanMusic Every horn even if it's two of the same brand will have a slight nuanced difference to the sound. For a MkVI Selmer that comes at a very very expensive premium. If you want to spend an obscene amount on a Selmer, why not just buy a new one?

too bad you really didn't make a legit comparison. We all know they are knock-offs but some of us would like to see how close they come to the real thing. Like did they get specs from the real thing. You cannot produce a sax from a pic, it just isn't possible.

The Bobby Shew trumpet we featured in this video is a Custom Z II. Specifically, the YTR-8310ZII. Yamaha manufactures this instrument in a few finishes with slightly different model numbers, but underneath they are all basically the same.
