New subscriber here. I am learning ho to install a seal cock in my pump house wall Shark bite is an option for me. Just trying to evaluate long term affects such as leaks. All the best from north Texas.

I know there are those out there that talk bad about Shark bite. Personally, I have not used them that much but I have not had any issues with them when I have.
@brentjohnson6654Ай бұрын
@@LifeHappensLetsFixIt yeah the shark bite connections in under ground make me wonder. For my instance I am putting this on my pump house which is a glorified shed. So this connection won’t be hidden.

Refer to my pinned comment. If you install the diagonal piece properly, it should hold up.

Great video. I just replaced mine on my Samsung refrigerator. The part that was the most difficult was what some others ran into... removing the control panel. Here is what I did: Remove the philips head screw. Put on a pair of gloves. Put as many fingers that will fit into the chute where the ice comes out, in front of the water dispenser tube. Grip only the black plastic piece where the ridges are at and not the smooth round chute part. Pull out and slightly down and it should come out. It took a good steady pull with some force (hence the gloves) and not a jerk. Again, the key is to grab only the black plastic with the ridges where the ice comes out. No other tools were necessary other than a small screwdriver to lift the tab on the power quick connect. To replace the spring: Look at the hole on the left side of where the new plastic panel clicks into. There is kind of what looks like a numer nine shape in black plastic. Inside the square shape, above and slightly to the right of the large hole, there is a tiny rectangular hole. That is where the long spring end goes. Put the spring on the new panel first, aligning the small end of the spring in the slot in the panel (you'll see it) then angle the whole thing so that you can slip the long end of the spring into that tiny rectangular hole and then insert the peg from the panel into the big hole. Then push the other peg on the panel into the opposite hole. Gently prying the plastic helps, but I didn't need to. You might hear a snap. If you do it right, the spring will sit exactly where it needs to be and the panel spring back when pushed. Reattach the power quick connect and snap the control panel back into place. Replace the screw.

Yes. Veranda 4 ft. Brazilian Walnut Vinyl Lattice Cap (2-Pack). I had to order it from Home Depot online. They didn't carry it in stock. The lattice was Barrette Outdoor Living 4 ft. x 8 ft. Brazilian Walnut Garden Vinyl Lattice and also had to be ordered.

2024, apparently 10 years since your video. It worked! I just got this yesterday as a 2x hand-me-down (dad>Grandma>me) I didn't realize it was this old! I decided to run some vinager thru before using it. Lots of debris came out. Then it stopped brewing I thought I broke it😅. Of course it was the 10y/o debris that came loose and clogged the needle. This totally saved the machine. I guess when you open it, it gets a reverse drip with grounds which back flow into the machine. The grounds build up over time at a 45 degree turn. When I took the screws and pulled the needle cap, the whole thing came out. The needle cap is just attached (micro zip tie) to a silicone 45 deg elbow which then connects (secured by micro zip tie) to a hard poly tube running atop the head and then down the back of the machine. I was able to re-insert the needle cap. The elbow slipped back on to the poly tube with a little persuasion. There is no ziptie now at that connection though - you simply can't replace or re-fix a zip tie in that area. It's within the machine and impossible since there is no room. Still, without the zip tie the machine is running like new with no leakage that I can see. I am not worried, silicone retains it's shape and properties fairly well. No swelling on contraction Judging by the silly small amount of build up which prevented the machine from running, this a very low pressure system. All things considered, I am fine without the ziptie as I know it will likely not affect operation and this problem will happen again which will warrant future servicing.

Ive never done something like this and knew a lot would go into it. This video was very informative and gave me the confidence to attempt it on my own, thank you for not sparing any details as there is a lot that goes into homeowning and teaching someone should be equally as informational!

if you wet/sponge the edges of the tape it will seal so the stain won't bleed through on the edges. Let it dry before staining. I think that's why they call it frog tape.
