Orin is one of the characters in the game who respects Chiayari's identity as a Tenkajin, and that's very cool to me. Although, I really don't understand this dilemma of Tenkajin or Chupacabra.

Zanmu showdown, but on Normal it's probably not as bad, and the strategy update is more relevant. Orin doesn't even play *remotely* close to how she did before, so it was definitely warranted

Rin is... an actual nightmare to play on higher difficulties... At least post-patch it's not that bad, since Chiyari, as well as Zanmu's final, were nerfed, but god. Remember when I compared her to Dark Meta Knight, in how she's BS as a boss, but garbage as playable? Well, part of that comparison is because they do no damage. I hear she got her shot damage buffed in 1.10c, but I'll be honest, I feel barely any difference... One thing she's good at though, is gauge farming. Her scope can actually do well against certain bosses, like Zanmu, and when her Lv2 goes off, every bullet that comes into contact with the circular aura spews out gauge items like you would with the scope itself. Also correction at the start, while she would transform every enemy into a spirit with her Lv2 pre-patch, yes, enemies transformed into spirits would not count towards the combo for sending an automatic Lv3, it was still only with spirits transformed into other spirits. (Emphasis on "was"... ZUNwhydidyoubuffZanmulikethisohmygodshe'sgonnabesotoxicinPvP) Also lol, her tails are gone. 4:09 Oh hey, ZUN fixed the wrong Nazrin cards showing. (Also, he fixed Achievement 21. Finally that no longer bothers me.)

KITTY!!! Anyways, I can't comment anymore since the balance patch changes quite a bit I think Orin was really fun when I played her Her shot was awful, but rhat C2 was amazing (if literally broken in both ways) Now her shot is stronger, but her C2 is... eh And the plot thickens!

Orin was a pretty bad shot in the older version of UDoALG. Now, she's actually decent since her damage has been buffed a little. Her original level 2 was changed into an entirely different. It used to convert enemies into spirits, but now it simply pacifies anything that gets caught alongside firing three wheelbarrows. The bug where Orin can suddenly die from using this did get fixed as a result of this change. On another note, Chiyari is now a pretty reasonable boss to deal with, now. Chiyari's Ex Attack and level 2 were nerfed very hard, so I'd say she's even on the easier side of the spectrum. Zanmu however, was buffed. Her buffed level 2 allows for very easy and quick chains, which can escalate very quickly and turn the fight into chaos as you get pinned by spears. Her final was nerfed, but the buff to her level 2 managed to outweigh the nerf to the final. On the older version, players utilize a very interesting strategy that involves intentionally causing a spell war as well as abusing well-timed boss cancels through damage from the exploding spirits in Orin's level 2 to send a storm of her Ex Attacks on Zanmu, which is capable of killing her before the final. This was demonstrated by MSM in the UDoALG Survival Match in this year's iteration of Touhou World Cup, which you can check here: www.twitch.tv/touhou_replay_showcase/v/2185625868?sr=a&t=3031s As for the newer version, I don't know much about it due to the major difference in Orin's level 2s, but I'm sure UDoALG players have figured out a new strat. Next time, we have a fox that went from below average to a pretty solid character overall between both versions thanks to a buff to her level 2 and her boss.

Rin's old C2 was actually crucial in what had become the meta strategy for getting her LNN, because the CPU isn't very smart and sometimes chooses to charge a C3 instead of a C2 even when facing down a giant mass of spirits... There are multiple videos of her old version LNN on youtube (myself included xd) that showcase this insane high stakes ping-pong strategy we employ to try to kill the CPU before it can kill us Her C2 was actually so incredibly bugged that if timed very well, it could actually convert a boss spawner object into a spirit, causing a C4, either manual or automatic, to be completely skipped... Anyway, her entire gameplan got gutted and replaced by a pretty boring spam C3 to win strategy. Why this works now is still a mystery to me, because for some reason, even when Zanmu uses her C2, the spirits remain unbelievably tanky and resilient to chaining, making her much more likely to get overwhelmed and crushed by random spirits, while simultaneously having a large chance to deny her from counterattacking effectively. Though if Zanmu does counterattack, as she now very much does against Marisa and Hisami, she becomes... quite a nightmare to deal with.
