9,500 lbs is like a freight elevator! I don't know if this motor is better than the 2 glass ones at a local mall. I say local and its like 15 miles.

That sucks that you had to climb out the hatch. I’ve been stuck in a couple elevators but I’ve never had to climb out the hatch. But still I’m very glad you eventually got out safe.

In July 2024 I once got busted by a nasty guard who called me a dumb fuck and was blasting and cussing at me just for not being a guest in a property I was filming at. This happened at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel in New York City.

Update: this lift went out of service again. Elevator Closed for Maintenance. If This lift needed a modernization the buttons and motor need replacement. The Westinghouse lift from 1950 at a now demolished Macy's Northgate Mall department store which this lift from 1968 is identical to as well as Tacoma Mall........... Was Modernised in 2000/01

Originally Frederick and Nelson until bankrupt in 1992, now Sears since 1994. In October 2023 this lift had a 3rd floor lockout added by Schindler

In early 2020 this store and the rest of the mall closed temporarily over covid. Most Everything shut down over corona virus 4 years ago

Update 7-23-2024 The Passenger lift here is out of service. 2022 it was and Again today. As for Sears which used to be Frederick and Nelson, the Montgomery lift modernized in 1982 and 2011 had a 3rd floor lockout added by Schindler back in October 2023
