I so hope an eagle owl takes out the entire nest and the adults too, given how many osprey chicks these goshawks take.

Maybe you can compare this „transcending-the-ego-thing“ to stop smoking cigarettes, because it’s not an active process but totally passive. You simply avoid doing something which is unhealthy. Nevertheless it’s hard for most people to „just“ let go the own ego as it is to „simply“ stop smoking. I wonder why there are no likes or comments here yet and I wanna mention that „hardcore zen“ is an absolute must-read, best zen book next to Suzuki’s „beginners mind“ and Dogen‘s stuff, i think. (So much for your ego, Brad „no sweat“ Warner 😁) I guess I saw Muho Nölke on German TV some years ago and was kinda impressed. I can’t say why I never read any of his books although I checked some of them at a store. Well, he interviewed Brad Warner and nodded at the right moments, so now I really gonna give his books a shot. Amithaba

Whos is worse? Adults who rely on a child's advice on a supposedly world changing matter, or adults who get angry at those adults and a kid who doesn't really know what she is talking about??? Lol

I wonder what the signal is from the parents, that makes the babies calm down and keep their heads low? I have seen many birds that ruffle their feathers when they feel threatened.

I only know about the ospreys. It is these high-pitched, shrill, rapidly successive sounds that the female in particular makes. These are the typical alarm calls of the ospreys when a potential enemy is in the air. The young always react to this by ducking down and lying flat in the nest.

Happy Capitalism every one! Bis wir verrecken dran
