And using plants from your driveway will have tons of pollutants on it from car exhaust, oils, and fertilizer runoff and isopods are extremely sensitive to that.

Fiddler crabs are incredibly easy to breed in captivating if you know what you are doing. Not sure who told you they weren't but they are severely mistaken.

I've got guppies on the way and have been looking for a method to breed them. Even if it's judt to get myself the best ones lol. This setup seems pretty straightforward which helps cause I've got to set up 7 bins.

Physical removal is the best way. I only get hair algae in one of my tanks and the only difference I can determine is the light. I don't know if it's the spectrum/color of that light or the strength. I put a timer on that light about 2 weeks ago so it's off for a large part of the day when I'm not home and now the hair algae is almost gone. The light comes on from 7:30am-9am and off until 4:30pm when it comes back on until 9pm, in total it's on for just 6 hours. There is ambient light from the other tanks and window so the fish and plants aren't in total darkness the rest of the time.
