I recently retired and took up jazz guitar (sorry, no trumpet). I was having trouble with improvisation so my teacher, who recently discovered your method, suggested that I try your jazz etudes approach. It’s made a big difference for me as I create my lines with my ears rather than plug-and-play licks.

Just stumbled on this gem. Great concept! Enlightening! 👍👏👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎺What always confuses me is how to align the scores with playing bflat- trumpet. Do I transpose in C while playing?
@darrenlloydtrumpet10 күн бұрын
The original resources came in C, Bb, Eb & bass clef. But as the channel says, trumpet! All the lessons I create now have resources in those different pitches and clefs.

Interesting. The 3rd & the 7th are used to create shell chords.

Guide tones
@IAmLookingForwardToDeath13 күн бұрын
@hakonosatowakugai7256 Yes, they are integral to the identity of a chord. For example, Major 7th chords have a major third and a major seventh. Minor 7th chords have a minor third and a minor seventh. But if you already knew that, I apologise in advance.
