I used to think that, but there are so many doctors/researchers who are diabetic themselves or have children with T1 diabetes that I do believe they are actually trying to cure themselves or their loved ones. I do understand your thinking though.

The head of Novo Nordisk insulin company’s daughter is a type 1 diabetic, Dr. Melton one of the best stem cell research scientist in the world, who ultimately developed lab grown the beta cell required for this cure, went into research in this field because both of his kids are type 1 diabetics; he just this year left his position at Harvard as a researcher and a professor to join Vertex to spead up the process for the cure; he said that he doesn’t care if he ever writes a science paper again as long as he can help find the cure, not to mention that this will be a very pricey thing to get so, things are looking up

This comment was very ignorant so allow me to educate you. Type 1 diabetes is different than type 2. Type 1 is *never* caused by what you eat or lack of exercise, it is not preventable, nor reversible. It is an autoimmune disorder.

Why they do this ? First of all. How everything begins: All people have different genetic level of resistance to the damage that our bodies can sustain. Like myself, and lots of people around the world, I've chosen "wrong parents" and I have auto immune "disease"... In my case arthritis and hyperthyroidism. Every one experience different symptoms. Now. It ALL begins with the gut lining. I don't know if you knew this. But almost all of our immune system is located literally beyond our gut wall. GUT WALL LINING. MOST important part of human body that no one pays attention to. No doctor even dares to talk about. I wish you realize, when you put LECTINS, CASEIN in your mouth... You're immune system is getting ready for war. To stop these toxic proteins from entering blood flow. Most people successful defend against this chronic damage all they're lives. But some, like Me or any other with autoimunine disorder... Can't. Over time, immune system can't handle it anymore. Your gut LINING which is responsible for nutrient absorption starts to become "leaky" it means the gaps get wider and wider. They become so big, that lectins, oxalates and phytates freely enter blood stream. Immune system reacts to this. In BAD WAY. Unfortunately proteins that makes up LECTIN and especially CASEIN... Are very similar to our own tissue. And that's when all problems begging. Immune system is so confused, it can't distinguish what's good or bad. IT'S STARTS ATTACKING OUR OWN ORGANS, TISSUES. The knowledge I now have scares me. I'm scared to see where world is going. When 3 year old kids are fed PURE SUGAR. IGNORANCE IS LETHAL. PEOPLE SUFFER AND DIE WITHOUT THIS KNOWLEDGE. There's a lot of BS in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, I agree, and they are definitely businesses trying to profit off people. But the opposite extreme is not the answer either. Some changes in diet might _help_ with symptoms but prevent or cure? No. Where is your proof? Where is the 99% statistic even coming from? You told me to study, but what do expect me to study when none of this was factual or based on data?

​@@caroline2978 After 2 months of "carnivore" diet my Psoriasis and arthritis went bye bye. So... ure telling me its not a Cure ? Yes If I start eating bread again my psoriasis will be back in few days. So its like saying, My petrol car is broken and cant be cured, because when I fill it with Diesel it doesnt run well. Humans and carbohydrates in general dont play well. Our genes are still the same as hunter gatherers that lived hundreds of thousands years ago. They had no "modern human diseases", there was no crooked teeth, no nasal deformities. We created this. Look what happend to man kind just in FEW generations... from 1960 to now we look like completely different species. Now 50% of pupulation is obease Diabetic. And almost ALL OF US are prediabetic... that will become diabetics in 10 years. When was the last time doctor mesured ure insulin ? Let me guess. NEVER... They think if ure blood sugar is fine... youre fine. Unfortunately not. I can type here for hours, but I think u get the point. Yes Im "one of those" who started thinking logically. And freed myself from wasting my time in clueless doctor office. Another intersting finding tho... My whole family vaccinated 2-3 times. They got reinfected with covid multiple times and tested positive multiple times. I'm not vaccinated, stayed with them all that time. Always tested negative, Never even had a single feever. Just a sore throat for a day. What is our difference ? They eat grains, carbs. I dont. U might think its BS. And thats ok. It's your choice to believe it or not.
