[Short review for those who might have the same question!] Whether or not this mod fits your preferences really comes down to what you're seeking in your sim racing experience! Personally, I lean towards the unique F1 models rather than the generic-style cars from groups like RSS & VRC. However, it's hard to deny the superior realism in the physics and features of those cars compared to other mods. The SDD cars were notable for their high-poly cockpit models, which made them perfect for onboard footage and helmet cams. However, their external appearance often seemed slightly off to me. On the flip side, the ACFL mod has fantastic external models, but the lower-poly nature of their cars can result in some inaccuracies compared to real-life counterparts. When compared to SDD and RSS for instance, ACFL models use approximately half the polygons, impacting the finer details. Certain onboard views, like that of the Mercedes, can appear somewhat strange due to the halo shape and the limitations of lower-poly models. However, this isn't necessarily a negative aspect; these models still come impressively close to reality and perform exceptionally well. Creating perfectly accurate models is an extremely difficult task, especially considering the small team behind this mod. I commend ACFL for their commitment to crafting their own models from scratch rather than choosing to purchase pre-made ones. The fact that ACFL cars have equal performance might not suit everyone, but for me it's not an issue. To enhance immersion I do use other mods for features like helmets and sounds, but overall I'm very impressed by ACFL's yearly offerings. Their continued updates and dedicated support system are also great to have. With their consistent hard work and quality output, I choose to support ACFL and their work each year. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this mod! :)

I'm so sorry, this comment managed to slip under my radar! 🤦🏼‍♂️ My game is pretty much the base filter in the description (specifically the FX_ULTIMATE_REAL one), but I also use the Technicolor filter in ReShade sometimes to make the colours look a little more "realistic"! I made it myself! Just the base skin with a barcode on the top! Sadly I don't have it anymore as I had to reinstall the cars & ended up overwriting & losing the file for it 😂😭

I use NeckFX included in content manager for the head movement! The overlay can be added to the game using reshade, but for the purposes of this video, the helmet is added afterwards :)

The ppfilter I use is is Blackcelica's "FX_Ultimate_REAL"! Been using it for years, I'd HIGHLY recommend it! I have tweaked the colours in post as well as using reshade to remove some of the harsh contrast from the base game! :)

I'll try & add a download for it soon! :)

@@nwdooingcrazy Hello there! :D Yes you are correct! I add most of the shake in post because I don't think the head shake in AC looks particularly realistic/good on video. The NeckFX link I sent is exactly what I'm using here, minus most of the shake. You should be able to add some in NeckFX yourself, or turn on the G-Forces in the standard AC settings to get a similar effect! Sorry for the confusion! Hope this helps you somewhat, and thank you for your comment! :D

Hello! 😀 So sorry, this comment seemed to slip through & I totally missed it 🤣 I too had a bunch of problems, particularly with the car spinning our really easily so I lowered the rear anti-roll bar slider by 1 or 2 notches & it became a lot more stable! I pretty much cranked all the wings up to high values as well 🤣 It's been a long time since I made this video (or drove these cars) and the mod has been significantly updated since then! Maybe one of the newer versions might be a bit easier to drive? Either way, I found that the stiffer the rear suspension the better! Sorry I can't help all that much! Thanks for your comment! 😁

Oh gosh, this was so long ago, I don't even have the car installed anymore I don't think! 😬 I used to just knock the wings up by 1 or 2 and bump the front anti-roll bar up for a bit more turn in so maybe try that? 🤣 Sorry dude! 😊

Thanks dude! 🥰 It's just a PNG file that I add onto the top using reshade! I have a few different ones I've used before but I mostly crop them out of other F1 helmet cam footage & play around with them to get a nice look in-game! You can then add them as overlay textures in reshade! Then I just edit the cockpit cam using the in-game editor by knocking it a few clicks to the right and voila! 😀 I might try including them in the description going forward! 😀 We'll see! 😊
