18 years ago when my wife was pregnant with my youngest child , I decided to buy her a car that was appropriate . After much searching we couldn't find one that suited our pocket but a guy at work recommended Autotrader online. Within a short time we found a 1996 Opel Astra Estate 10 years old but in our price range. We contacted the seller and negotiated a good price. The car was in pristine condition and my wife and two grown up daughters all learned to drive on it and used it for their driving tests and passed first time. We have a brand new 1.8 Toyota Corolla but I still use the Opel as my daily driver. The kid who we bought it for 18 years ago is learning to drive on it now. I'm 61 years old and retired and although many people have asked me to sell it to them I refuse because I love it so much. Thanks Autotrader for doing such a great and positive thing , you have helped to make our lives immeasurably better.

Hello Dude's and Dudette, now I'm tuning you okes that we may have it wrong about the longevity of EV batteries. Rory from Autotrader UK is currently reviewing an 8 year old 400,000 mile Tesla. After all this, the car is still mechanically sound and the battery is still on a 62% state of health. I fear these EV's may usurp ICE cars for robustness. Autotrader needs to do a feature as to when South Africa will be able to support FEV as opposed to Hybrids. We don't have the charging stations that Europe has
