U guys make it like it's so hard..i've done it 10x already..cable/no cable..easy peasy..
@_S.H_4 күн бұрын
I think it's easier without the cables. No crowds, and most importantly you get to walk on the more rigid less-slippery surface.
@theworldhiker12 күн бұрын
I agree. Without the cables and crowds makes for a nicer day.

Hi Brian, I just followed you on instagram but it wouldn’t let me message you. I am taking a year off to backpack the world and wanted to ask you if you have a list of essential gear you recommend. I love all your videos and also enjoy running, so I wanted to connect with you and learn more about gear, camera you use to document, etc. I saw you were at Chapada Diamantina and that’s one of my first stops in a couple months. Anyway, trying to figure out which gear I need to buy and some other logistics… I would appreciate any tips you might have! Thank you in advance :)

This just happened to me today and the noise in the beginning of the video just freaked me out so bad lmao i was on mt Sherman like 2 minutes down from the summit when my hair started going up and my head was getting static zaps like you described. I ducked by a rock on a ridge then moved towards the only other two people up there and ducked by a bigger rock lower on the ridge. It was really the scariest thing ever in my life idk how you kept calm and just kept going😂we sat there till the storm rolled over. I know you should split up in those situations to minimize potential damage to others but I was so scared I just wanted to be with people lmao

Any snow or mud conditions in the GC, bring microspikes, they work very well in both conditions and up and down. Helps cut down on all that slipping and sliding. I keep thinking I will outlast the mud and not put them on, invariably I put them on and wish I put them on sooner. You can trail run in them just fine, just buy a high quality pair.
@theworldhiker129 күн бұрын
@@Smashycrashy yep we actually have microspikes and didn’t bring them as we didn’t expect this much snow!
