I have a helix dsp in my truck but 2 out of my 4 speakers have stopped playing. This has happened before and I replaced my amp with a new amp. I contacted my installer and he is saying the same two channels on my new amp my have gone out or it could be the dsp. My question is can this helix dsp stop 2 speakers from playing? I think this is an install issue and not a dsp or amp issue

Great video, very informative. I haven’t gotten to this stage yet in my setup but this at least shows me how to get set up and started.

"Shout To The Lord...Fuckery!" LOL! This video was extremely vague, mate. Couldn't figure out what point you were trying to make until well into the video. Maybe you should have stated the specific Launcher App or "front end" you are using on the tablet, and any other specific apps and their required settings in order to get this all working as you show it, as well as state the exact DAC model and signal chain, and all of the connections from the tablet to your DAC and DSP, etc. What specific version of Android is your SG Tab S4 running here? This makes all the difference and the outcome will not be the same if someone else is running a different version. Is your SG Tab S4 Rooted? What USB DAC are you using? ...and what power adapter you are using to power it via microUSB? Are you connected from the DAC to the DSP inputs using Analog RCA interconnects, or? As someone else stated, since *UAPP* has its own proprietary Android Audio Kernel which overrides and replaces the audio output from the stock Android audio kernel in order to provide bit-perfect Hi-Res output, it does not like to "release" its proprietary audio kernel back to the stock Android audio kernel and automatically reinitiate/resart it when you try to switch back to other music player apps. *UAPP* pretty much takes over all audio routing in Android, so you either fully use and embrace it, or uninstall it if you want to use other music playing apps without any issues.

Hey! I'm tuning my car system - and I've come across your video -- i'm in Milwaukee WIsconsin, and I was wondering after I make an attempt to tune, if I could pay you a bit for your time and i could come down there and you could show me what I did wrong, how I can improve etc. for info - here's what I have: Dynaudio esotar2 110 tweet, dynaudio esotar2 650 mid, IDmaxx 12" sub -- Arc Audio 2300se and 4200se amps driven by arc PS8. The car is all "sound deadener Showdown" mass load vinyl and open cell foam in doors, floor, trunk, and thinsulate in the roof. I'm not looking for competition, just learning more and getting expensive components to sound as good as they could. My system was tuned at one point by a shop, but I think it could get better and recently all my settings were wiped out when Arc had to service my ps8. so - let me know if this is something you'd be willing to help me with - I would be grateful!!

@xb8slim I didn't get a reply back on this, damnit! My fault. I did get it tuned but I would still love to learn more and see if it can be improved more. It's a little harsh on 1 particular mid range area. Specifically, if you know Tool - Maynard voice when he sings with a little more force...right there it's a little harsh, too bright.

With Helix, do you have to account for LR crossover slope phase change (12/24db) like you do with an analog crossover? Trying to determine if each speaker will need its phase and delay adjusted like you would with an MS8 or an analog crossover network.
@xb8slim2 жыл бұрын
I personally have not come to a place where I needed to do that. At most I have played with crossover points... The only time I do try different slopes is with sub.

I was using digital input as source but everytime it say unsuccessful measurement
@xb8slim2 жыл бұрын
In the first version of this... It was only RCA input... If you updated to where it can use the digital input ... Couple of maybes... Mark all unused channel to not used in the I/O screen. Depending on setup... My sub and others had to be cranked way up and even one we had to temporarily disable the crossover so the pop would play. Also I forgot to mention in the video... The distance to near speaker box, to the right of left or right hand drive... Set it to something that like 100cm. Otherwise it won't be right if it does finish.

Did the auto timealignment measuments match what a tape measure would give you because mine don't. Some say 0 some say 10.23 " just wondering if I am doing this correctly.

Hey man, thanks for the video. I am not having any luck with this. I am using a newer version 4.75, but that shouldn’t matter. It is not hearing my UMM 6 mic and the speaker display it has with the red checks doesn’t match what I have on the IO screen at all. Any help would be great.

It's the same, delay have a time specification and distance a specification in inch or meter. Sorry for my englisch.

The magic is in the "fuckery". 😂 Looking good Shannon. One thing I hated about USB Audio Pro is it grabs it's own driver and then I had to restart the tablet so other apps could use the stock Android driver again. Looks like you got it to eventually switch back. Probably more PITA than it's worth.

Thanx for doing the vid. I was curious so I tried this. It shot my numbers way off. I am in a right drive car, I selected right drive and my USB HEC. Set my right side tweeter to full and ran it. It gave consistent results, they just were never even close to right. I tried both distance and delay. I'll keep trying but I use a laser ruler and plug in the numbers and they get me 100% better results. I think they might still need to work out some issues with this.
