Hi Ann, here is a report on dot and dab, my engineers have matched this graph exactly, there are also many other similar reports online: quietco.uk/blog/nhbc-report-on-dot-and-dab-plasterboard/ After doing 1000s of soundproofing installations, you start to see trends, you start to see what works and what does not work. Thanks very much for your comment.
Can floor joists upstairs be disconnected? Read your article online, the neighbours noise can only be heard when we’re upstairs . We have a concrete subfloor downstairs

Hi Nathan2504, yes they can disconnect the joists upstairs as well as downstairs, we have done it in the passed, it is a huge renovation to do this and can cost tens of thousands of pounds. A most cost effective solution would be a really solid floating floor to the bedroom floor which costs £5K-6K Thanks very much for your comment, sorry for late in getting back to you.....I post regularly on my personal channel: Check out my personal channel for a lot more useful tips: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iciTerOcrNStf2Q.htmlsi=wSqILrcZELoBH3Ab
