Nothing in the bible says we need governments approval to be married. A commitment to another is marriage.

same here...I never felt I could financially support that lifestyle, wife, kids, house home ...my parents did but somehow they were maybe too busy to express their ideas on the subject...they never sat me down and explained how it works. 61 now and still single...a few long relationships behind me...lots of people think i'm much younger...maybe I've avoided the stress physically and mentally...I've had women say I'm not serious enough. oh well.

Marriage is wonderful, i am in one but American people just make marriage seem very scary. If one couple is rich, the other partner get divorce to get other person pay all the money and make them broke and they make the kids to be against the other partner paying them the money. It's not supposed to be like that, if it doesn't work then allow the other to go in peace. In America it makes it seems like money is the reason they marry for the most part.

If men and women were really honest - and women are just as guilty - men would never be doing this. Truth is, women's lives get emotionally torn up by having relations outside of wedlock and they should care enough about themselves to say no thank you. This isn't just a casual thing, it's a big deal. Women have been brainwashed into thinking that this is ok when they feel cheap and used and end up wasting years of their lives in these situations.

Marriage & kids is a huge & permanent responsibility. There are emotional & spiritual expectations. If one is not ready to be a good husband or dad, then don't put yourself in that role as it will be harmful for everyone; the guilt, the manipulations, the disappointments & addictions that could develop... Mike is a realist & knows this. Oprah has the same philosophy.

I’ve enjoyed him for decades, but it’s sad that he lacks the spiritual awareness of the importance of the Sacrament of Marriage in contrast to living in sin, fornication. Saying another prayer for his conversion and that of his girlfriend.

His voice is mid grade, baritone rasp. I used to like to watch him get soused and sweaty faced drinking wine on "Evening Magazine" in SF. He sort of had that slippery, slimy look. Basically, I'm just jealous because I couldn't wrangle my parents a national TV commercial like he did. However, I put him right up there with other nauseating, TV over-exposures like Dog The Bounty hunter, Matt Crouch, owner of TBN, Paul Teutul of Orange County Choppers, Danny Koker of Counting Cars, Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars and The Ligina brothers of The Oak Island Fiascos.

Yea, no fucken way. marriage is just a stupid decision in modern times. I have never seen anything good come from marriage personally. My parents were married their whole lives and they were fucking miserable, in the end my mom was basically drugging my dad to keep him asleep and occasionally overdosing his insulin and was only interested in keeping him around for his pension. My mom gaslighted my dad his whole life and they argued constantly while I was a child. as adult my sisters and I discussed it and we found out when this was happening we all thought the same thing, "dad why don't you just punch her out already". I was married for like 14 years and it ended in all out war, my sisters were married one still is and its not good, not as bad as my experience but not good enough to warrant making same decision over again. Its just stupid, and unnecessary to be married in this day and age. As a man, I would say, never make rash decisions when it comes to girl friends, and before you make any decisions to commit to anything, go rub one out first. I would also highly highly recommend always keeping separate bank accounts and even then keep a secret stash on the side that she cant get to and doesn't know about. Try and keep the assets you want to keep in your name, with your signature on top of hers, and assets you really don't want put your signature under hers. Always get a prenup, but keep in mind that goes out the window once you have kids, basically always plan on a divorce at some point, keep tabs on good domestic law lawyer, make sure you have one and the retainer money available, about 2500$. If you have kids, don't ever let her move out of state with your kids, ever and realize the courts will be on your side with that, but with that being said, step up and pay your fair share and stay in their lives, better yet get custody. Remember, most important, once divorce is declared its war and the gloves are already off, all those pillow talks about how she would never do this or that is bullshit and in the end she will fuck a snake to get you. Even if she's a reasonable person, the lawyers will take advantage of her and start a fight, its in their interests for you two to fight as they make more money. They will manipulate her to hate you. These rules for the most part go both ways, although mostly for men because women have tactical advantage over men always.

I’m a Christian and we were put on this earth to first have a relationship with God , next to find a mate, fall in love and procreate. How do you think God intended to replenish the earth? If you are a good person which I believe he is, there is a lot to be said for a relationship and volumes to be said about having children. I’ve been married 56 years. It has been the best part of my life and the best decision I ever made, after accepting Jesus as my Savior. Thirdly, my children are a gift from God and I won’t even talk about what grandchildren bring to my life. You can have a career, friends, nice things - nothing takes the place of a committed relationship and family. Still to each, his own.
