@@16traces Thanks for your attention and sorry, I'll try to express myself better. by autonomy, (Battery life) I mean if it changes from flood mode to launch mode in the various phases, if it lasts longer? or it doesn't change, it stays the same
@16traces3 ай бұрын
@@giuseppebella There is a slight difference in runtime between Max Spot and Max Flood. Max Spot seems to be able to light up a little longer. I think this is due to the fact that the internal electronic diffuser(11:28) consumes a little more power during Flood.🤓 www.acebeam.com/w35-lc-del-zoom-lep-flashlight

I don't know about runtime changes in the state between Max Spot and Max Flood as I can't measure them. But I don't see a big difference either way, so I don't think you need to be particularly concerned about it. And I can't think of many situations where I would keep the LEP on for long periods of time, and I don't think walking around at night using flood mode is a good idea considering the body size of the W35.

I haven’t actually tried it yet, but I’m thinking next time I either remove or add a pocket clip I will try using plastic straws to remove or add a new pocket clip. Only if I am concerned about the marks because some of my flashlights are collectors and yes, I do use them, but I also like to keep them in really good condition in case I sell them in the future. I am thinking that certainly when you’re putting the clip on, you could put one straw on each side and then when you push it on as long as you’re able to pull the straw out after the clip is set in place there should be no scratch marks. And it might be possible when taking a clip off to first somehow slide a straw onto each side before pulling it off. I just noticed when you put the new tactical ring on there left those marks , which is such a shame for such a beautiful light, even though it will be covered up.

I can not boost your shopping The rotary switch on the GL1 is heavy and difficult to use It's like mixing a bucket of highly viscous oil And the tail switch makes a creaking noise and feels hard as if it is not lubricated (once you push it in, the hardness goes away, but after a while, it gets hard again) I don't know if this is an individual difference or if it is common

@@16traces 🤔 Sounds like maybe you got a defective one. I got a microtech OTF once and the button was ridiculously hard to move. It had to be sent in for a fix. I’m still tempted to pick one up and return it if it’s like that. Thanks for the heads up

Can someone help. I have 2 great nitecore flashlights. The SRT7i and the P23i. Now is it my imagination to why does it seems the P23i seems more brighter, stronger than the SRT7i? I can hold the 23 and use the strobe toward the palm of my hand and do the same thing with the SRT7i and i notice the 7 is weaker ( not as blinding ) than the 23. Can you do the same test. I just want to know if it's normal or maybe something is wrong with the 7. Any help or feedbacks would be very appreciated. Again, Nitecore products are awesome. I solely use my light for self defence and i still can't decide which one to carry on my belt all the time. Thanks.
@16traces4 ай бұрын
Probably normal I think it's the angle of illumination and the way the LEDs on the SRT7i light up kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pJ6fgtqqyMfFeXk.htmlsi=ozEgCrPKH1tsLBD9&t=572 I agree that the P23i seems to have a snappier strobe
@rejeanpoirier60474 ай бұрын
Thank you so much with that good information. Yes on your video, the LED comes on slower, that is strange. I agree, the P23i strobe way more snappier and seems more punch ( brighter ) . Me i use it solely for self defence and between the 2, the 23 seems a better choice for that purpose and not as clumsy and heavy. I use a quick draw holster on my belt. But the SRT7i is still a very good light but on the 7, i notice sometime when you press the button to turn it on , it will flicker and then it goes out. You have to hit the switch again and it will stay on. It does that once in a while. My P23i is totally flawless. Great light all around. @@16traces

The Srt7i has a longer head and a deeper reflector making the light more defined and further throwing. It also has lockout and adjustable lumens down to ultra low at 1 lumen vs the 23i only goes down to 50. Both have strobe and turbo at 3K. The srt7i does have a more complex tailcap button system vs the p23i. In tac mode each button has a different preset setting giving you 4 momentary options thru full press and half press of the 2 buttons. If you’re good with memorizing settings and don’t mind the length and weight the tlr7i has more options but the p23i is more user friendly in my opinion. Nitecore does pretty decent videos of their functions and I find it easier than the manuals. I debated getting the srt7i but went with the p35i to go with my p23i. I still might get one someday since they all use the same battery. Also note that there is no pressure switch available for the srt7i if you are looking to mount it on a weapon platform. Check before you buy.
