The full explanation is that you didn’t know. You will repent and do istighfaar and you will be forgiven. After this you must learn about tawheed and shirk and about Islam properly. I gave you links to the lessons to learn from. Allah forgives all sins of you ask for forgiveness and do not return to them as per the ayah in surat az-Zumar. The ayah that the shaykh mentions. The tafsir of that is if somebody does upon the shirk. If you died upon major shirk then Allah will not forgive you because you died upon it.

@@thereminder1763 sheikh explained even if you don’t know what is major shirk Allah don’t forgive as your no longer a Muslim if you were us Muslim country the hadd punishment for shirk is execution as this is the worse kind of kufr.

Shirk opposes the Tawheed .. And one deeds is mixed with shirk then the servant is far from purification in both general and specific terms Surah maidah : 5

( Tawheed in purifying the soul is like a tree which doesn't stand nor flourish except by it's roots ( foundation). So if the roots are corrupted the tree will be corrupted.. Likewise if it's roots are Good.. ( Surah ibrahim 24,25 )

Where the shaykh mentions this. He says that lots of dua/supplication should not be specifically sought on this day as it opposes the sunnah. Also from the view point of not falling into any religious extremism or innovation. However, take note that this does not mean you shouldn’t make any dua at all and on Friday there is what is called الساعة الاستجابة where Allah answers supplications that are made. جزاكم الله خيرا

In the linguistic sense not shar’i. Non of the companions would ever go against the Prophet’s speech ﷺ where he said every bid’ah(newly invented matter in the deen) is a misguidance. Expansive answer below: الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله، وعلى آله وصَحْبِه ومن والاه، أمَّا بعدُ: فقد انعقد إجماع الأمة على مشروعيّة صلاة القيام في رمضان جماعةً؛ نَقَلَ الإجماعَ غيرُ واحد من أهل العلم، ومن نظر إلى تلك الصلاةِ وجد أنها لا ينطبق عليها وصفُ البدعة الشرعية؛ لأن الثابت أنَّ النبيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى بأصحابه في رمضان ثلاثَ ليال، ثم تركه خوفًا من أن تفرض عليهم؛ فثبت أصل المشروعية؛ فعُلِمَ يقينًا أنَّ تسميةَ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنه لها بالبدعة ليس المقصودُ به البدعةَ الشرعيةَ المذمومةَ، ولكن البدعة اللغوية، وسبب التسمية أنَّ الناس قد تركوا صلاتها جماعة بإمامٍ واحد مدَّةً منَ الزمان، وكانوا يصلون أوزاعًا، فلما جمعهم عمرُ على إمام واحد، صار اجتماعُهُم بدعة مقارنةً بما كانوا عليه أولاً؛ ولهذا المعنى أقرَّ جميعُ الصحابة عمرَ عليها. كما يمكن أن يُقَال: سماها بِدعةً نظرًا -والعلم عند الله- إلى اعتبار الدوام، وأنه لم يقع قبله عملاً دائمًا، أو أنه أظهره في المسجد الجامع مخالفًا لسائر النوافل، وإن كان ذلك واقعًا في أصله كذلك، ولكن لما كان الدليل على ذلك القيام ثابتًا من فِعْلِ النبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "نِعْمَتِ البِدْعَةُ هَذِهِ" فحسَّنها بصيغة نِعْمَ. هذا؛ وقد نصَّ غيرُ واحد من أهل العلم على هذا المعنى؛ قال الحافظ ابن رجب في (جامع العلوم والحكم): روى الحافظ أبو نعيم بإسناده عن إبراهيم بن الجُنيد قال: سمِعْتُ الشافعيَّ يقول: "البدعة بِدعتانِ: بدعة محمودة، وبدعة مذمومة. فما وافق السنة فهو محمود، وما خالف السنة فهو مذموم" واحتج بقول عمر رضي الله عنه: نعمت البدعة ... إلى قوله: وقد رُويَ عن الشافعي كلامٌ آخَرُ يفسر هذا، وأنه قال: "المحدثات ضربانِ: ما أُحْدِثَ مما يُخَالِفُ كتابًا أوْ سُنَّةً أو أَثَرًا أو إجماعًا فهذه البدعة الضلالة". اهـ. وقال: "المراد بالبدعة ما أُحْدِثَ مما لا أصل له في الشريعة يدلُّ عليه، وأما ما كان له أصل من الشرع يدلُّ عليه -: فليس ببدعة شرعًا وإن كان بدعةً لغة". اهـ. وقال رحمه الله: "وأما ما وقع في كلام السلف من استحسان بعض البدع؛ فإنما ذلك في البدع اللغويةِ لا الشرعيةِ" إلى قوله: "ومراده -أي عمر في قوله: نعمت البدعة- أن هذا الفعل لم يكن على هذا الوجه قبل هذا الوقت، ولكن له أصل في الشريعة يرجع إليها؛ فمنها أن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - كان يحث على قيام رمضان ويُرَغِّبُ فيه، وكان الناس في زمنه يقومون في المسجد جماعاتٍ متفرقةً ووحدانًا، وهو صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى بأصحابه في رمضان ليلةً ثم امتنع من ذلك مُعَلِّلا بأَنَّهُ خشي أن يكتب عليهم؛ فيعجزوا عن القيام به، وهذا قد أمن بعده، صلى الله عليه وسلم. وقال الحافظ ابن كثير رحمه الله: "والبدعة على قسمين: تارة تكون بدعة شَرْعِيَّة؛ كقوله "فإن كل محدثة بدعة وكل بدعة ضلالة" وتارة تكون بدعة لغوية؛ كقول أمير المؤمنين عمر بن الخطاب -عن جمعه إياهم على صلاة التراويح واستمرارهم-: نِعْمَتِ البِدْعَةُ". اهـ وقال المباركفوري صاحب (تحفة الأحوذي): فقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم "كل بدعة ضلالة" من جوامع الكلم لا يخرج عنه شيء، وهو أصل عظيم من أصول الدين، وأما ما وقع في كلام السلف من استحسان بعض البدع فإنما ذلك في البدع اللغوية لا الشرعية؛ فمن ذلك قول عمر رضي الله عنه في التراويح: نعمت البدعة". اهـ. وقال الحافظ في (الفتح): "البِدْعَةُ أَصْلُهَا مَا أُحْدِثَ على غَيْرِ مِثَالٍ سَابِقٍ، وَتُطْلَقُ في الشَّرْعِ على مُقابَلةِ السُّنَّةِ فَتَكُونُ مَذْمُومَةً، وَالتَّحْقِيقُ أَنَّهَا إنْ كانتْ مما يَنْدَرِجُ تحت مُسْتَحْسَنٍ في الشَّرْعِ فهي حَسَنَةٌ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مما يَنْدَرِجُ تحت مُسْتَقْبَحٍ في الشَّرْعِ فهي مُسْتَقْبَحَةٌ، وَإِلَّا فهي مِنْ قِسْمِ الْمُبَاحِ". وقال الشيخ ابن عثيمين في (مجموع فتاوى): "فلا يليق بعمرَ رضي الله عنه وهو مَنْ هُوَ أن يخالف كلام سيد البشر محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وأن يقول عن بدعة: "نعمت البدعة" وتكون هذه البدعة هي التي أرادها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بقوله: "كل بدعة ضلالة" بل لابد أن تُنَزَّل البدعة التي قال عنها عمر: إنها "نعمت البدعة" على بدعة لا تكون داخلة تحت مراد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في قوله: "كل بدعة ضلالة" فعمر رضي الله عنه يشير بقوله: "نعمت البدعة هذه" إلى جمع الناس على إمام واحد بعد أن كانوا متفرقين، وكان أصل قيام رمضان من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقد ثبت في (الصحيحين) من حديث عائشة رضي الله عنها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قام في الناس ثلاث ليال وتأخر عنهم في الليلة الرابعة وقال: "إني خشيت أن تفرض عليكم فتعجزوا عنها". فقيام الليل في رمضان جماعة من سنة الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام، وسماها عمر رضي الله عنه بدعة باعتبار أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لما ترك القيام صار الناس متفرقين، يقوم الرجل لنفسه، ويقوم الرجل ومعه الرجل، والرجل ومعه الرجلان، والرهط، والنفر في المسجد، فرأى أمير المؤمنين عمر رضي الله عنه برأيه السديد الصائب أن يجمع الناس على إمام واحد فكان هذا الفعل بالنسبة لتفرق الناس من قبل بدعة، فهي بدعة اعتبارية إضافية، وليست بدعة مطلقة،، والله أعلم. رابط المادة: iswy.co/e4243

@@thereminder1763 This is a very weak interpretation. The innovation that Umar was bringing was not in speech, it was literal and physical. It is true that Umar R.A would not go against the Prophet which is why the Prophets statement is interpreted to mean "every evil bid'ah". Imam Shafi'i, Imam Nawawi etc. have already classified the bid'ah into categories. They told us that the Prophet was referring to specific type of bidah and showed us Umar R.A statements. The Taymiyyite position is a minority position amongst the Ulama Ahlus Sunnah.
