Regarding the NCA batteries, Tesla doesn’t say you should NEVER charge above 80%… but rather that you should not charge over 80% EVERY DAY for regular daily driving. It’s perfectly fine to charge an NCA battery to 100% if you’re on a road trip and need the maximum range possible. The worst thing you can do to an NCA battery pack is charge it to 100% and then let it sit fully charged for days - especially in hot weather. If you charge it to 100% and then resume a long drive, no problem at all.

The weight that is in your vehicle with unnecessary items and extra people have no negative effect on an electric car. In some cases, it will have a positive effect.

For the gladiator there are 4 brackets, 8 rivnuts all the 8 bolts and then 4 bolts for the skid plate. The brackets come with a welded threaded area to make it easy to take the skid on and off. On my gladiator it came with the skid plate and all 4 mounting points but love this video, you see a different angle than some of the videos out there 👌👌👌👌

Temperature when it is cold out side less range. The current heat pumps are better than the old resistance heaters but low temps hurt range. Car has to heat the batteries. Otherwise yeah to the rest

This is just crazy. I have a 2022 Gladiator and I removed the battery cable (the smaller one with the post attached) and the fuse. And the auto start / stop still activates !!!!

Missed the Jeep videos. Keep them coming. I love my 2024 Jeep Wrangler. I just changed out my cloth seats for katzkin leather seats last week. I'm getting ready to swap out my top for a bestop trektop ultra slantback, and maybe after I wear down the tires go up to 35's with a small lift. It's exciting but you can't do it all at once. Nice... I've got my door lock sound set to the same "Recharge" sound too. I think it fits the theme of the car so well! How about your rear plate frame... I don't see it in your mod list. Did that come from Amazon as well? I still have the paper temp plate on mine, but would like to put some kind of frame around the permanent plate when the time comes.

I purchased the 2020 jeep Gladiator Rubicon new back in 2019 and it’s been a wild ride for sure with having the aluminum steering box replaced under warranty to a steel steering box that fixed my death wobble steering problem to the dam start stop battery failure draining my main battery causing me to buy two new main batteries only to discover that after I bypass the start stop eliminating the small battery it finally fixed my battery drain to the purchase of a Tazer mini to shut off all of the annoying features like start stop . I would actually buy another jeep Gladiator because it’s been an adventure for sure and a learning curve that once you master the jeep fuckery it’s ok to own one.

I have been wanting to do this on my 2021 JL with the 3.0 liter ecodiesel. I have already had to replace the auxiliary battery twice. Luckily, it was done under warranty. It will be nice to get rid of it and not have to go through the hassle of replacing it again. The other videos I watched showed removing the inner fender liner to get to the auxiliary battery. My modified fender liners are a pain to remove, so it's nice to be able to skip that step and leave the battery in place. It will definitely save me some time and aggravation. I know this won't help you, but for others there's a company that sells brake caliper paint. And they have colors that match manufactures' specific colors. They sell Jeep colors and they have a Pumpkin in stock. The price is a little high though, about $150. The company is called G 2. I've used their product and it's pretty good.

My model 3 is my only vehicle and I drive 700 miles a week and charge at home. Saves me two gas station stops every week and a ton on money on gas

Go out to your car type in an address you want to go to, say back in Ohio. The car will plot you a route with marked charging stops. It will tell you how long you are going to need to charge for enough energy to make it to the next charger. Takes me maybe an extra 1/2 hour to go to Ft Worth 10-1/2 now was about 10 before. Adds one stop. The battery swap was looked at. Very expensive to have a series of battery swap stores needing to have a million dollars in batteries in stock to swap out (those battery packs are not cheap). I know how you feel about cruise control so having the car tell you the route to follow is probably a non starter.

I own a Tesla and also live in California where front license plates are required, but I will never put a plate on the front. Looks tacky imo. The teslas look so much better without them on. 😭

I have the lag, when just starting out driving at a normal speed I have hesitation and lag but when it gets into the higher gears the lag is gone. Also there is no lag is a launch it, only at low speeds. Any help would be great, Thanks

Use a 13mm socket on the first extension and an impact driver to lift it in 3 seconds using that same jack

The aux battery is in parallel with the main battery, so the system can't easily see it if it's disconnected. The theory is these act like one larger capacity battery to better tolerate the ridiculous start stop "feature". As you mentioned, the smaller battery can start to suck down on the larger one which is basically a parasitic drain. The whole thing is silly IMO.
