Yes. This one just had multiple lightning strikes on the same ridgetop where our farm is located. Most storms it may only get struck once, but this storm was just dropping lightning all around for an extended time.

That's awesome! Never heard of Honeycomb Cherry Tomatoes before, but I will look them up. I just picked another gallon of our Sun Sugar Gold tomatoes yesterday, and we are going to make a jalapeno, tomato, & basil preserves with them. We made a small batch last year, and I have been waiting a year now to make another batch! Thanks for watching, and happy gardening!

@@vduval52 Each person has their own preferences and limits on what they are willing to spend. I recently had another person tell me the same on my IG post about them. Honestly, I don’t feel like $8 for 3 grips is excessive, considering how they allow me to continue using old buckets that the grip has broken on. Not to mention, the grip diameter is three times that of a standard plastic handle grip, which distributes the weight out across your hand more evenly. This makes it so much easier for my wife and kids to carry heavy buckets of water, and they prefer the snappy grip buckets over the other buckets I have.

Alright weird question here but…: are you using waders? What are you wearing on your legs
@reynoldsranchflintridgeАй бұрын
😂. Those are brush chaps, typically worn when upland game hunting. These are made by Orvis, and are basically made of heavy duty wader material. When I pick berries I push my way into the briars, brush, & thorns, so these help keep my pants from getting gnarled up in the briars. Most folks who pick wild berries just pick from the outer edge since they don’t like to get their skin pricked or clothes snagged, so this allows me to just push further into the mess to maximize the harvest. I think I did a video on my berry picking gear last year, but I will have to try to find it.
@OneMound1Ай бұрын
Very good. In the rain forest they hack away with machetes. Ever tried their technique?
@reynoldsranchflintridgeАй бұрын
@@OneMound1 I have used a machete often to “hack” a trail into the blackberry brambles. I posted a couple videos last year where I was hacking and pushing my want into blackberry brambles that were 10-12 ft tall. I mow trails across the farm to gain primary access, then use a machete to get into other harder to reach areas, then finally wear my chaps to push my way into the clumps.

I live in Chicago and one just popped up out of no where in my garden. It’s about a foot tall but it’s growing where I’m going to have a gate built. Does it have a tap root? I would like to move it.
@reynoldsranchflintridge2 ай бұрын
Good question. Yes, they have a significantly large root system. I don't know anybody who has tried relocating one before, but the folks I know who try to dig them up to remove them from unwanted areas had a difficult time getting the entire root system out of the ground. Although, our soil here is clay with rocks, so it is relatively challenging to dig in to begin with. Hope this helps with your question.

What do you use for chicken wire? We used to get rabbit wire that lasted forever, but mow where can you find it as heavy duty as it used to be?
@reynoldsranchflintridge2 ай бұрын
I use just standard chicken wire around our chicken coop, but the lower 2 ft is a heavy duty expanded metal mesh. I used the expanded metal mesh around the bottom to resist coyotes and red fox from trying to come through the lower portions of the fencing. For our rabbit pen, I use a 1/2" x 1/2" wire mesh. The tomato cages are made using concrete wire mesh, which also makes an excellent trellis for beans, squash, and other vining veggies to grow up.
