I have the A-S801. Lovely amp! I run mine pure direct. Driving 4-ohm floor standers, it runs very cool.

All you need is an EQUALIZER to really make them even sound better.

Watching your vid and hearing it through my own AS2200. I notice you also had AS1100's bigger brother AS2100 next to it. Did you ever compare them?

I have it hooked to a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 240's which are 4 ohms, now before I purchased the amp I called Yamaha to be sure the amp could be used with 4 ohm speakers and they assured me it could, but to be sure to put the switch on the back into the 4 ohm position. The amp puts out about 128 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
