So, every videos I made recently had chapters working. But my last one, a video game playthrough of 6 hours, with around 100 chapters, won't work. I tried everything. I just feel like this particular one isn't eligible for chapters. That's sad, because chapters were supposed to be a big "feature" of how this video is meant to be used. My channel don't have and never got any strikes in the past. Nothing is monetized either. Anyway. Thanks a lot for your breakdown. It gives me a better idea how this murky feature works. I hate that it is never clear, though.

Interesting. I've never seen them list a MAX of chapters allowed, but perhaps they cap it at 100 chapters in a video? One thing you might wanna try is reducing your chapters in that video.. I know it would suck to lose some of the breakdowns you made, but for the sake of understanding KZfaq's limitations, what if you tried reducing your chapters in that video to say 75? Or 50? Basically see if chapters would show up in that video if the amount of chapters were lower. Perhaps you'd land at the sweet spot... where apparently KZfaq only allows 30 chapters or 50 in a video? I'd be curious to hear your findings!
@DominiqueGendronLanglois
@DominiqueGendronLanglois 28 күн бұрын
@@jaykaslo After hours of troubleshooting, I can firmly confirm chapters are capped at 100. As soon as I add a 101st, the whole chapter feature is gone from the video. I was able to compress my chapters into exactly 100 (this includes the "00:00 - Start" chapter, so you really have only 99 chapters slot, minimum 11 seconds apart since a single chapter must be at least 10 seconds long), and now chapters are working properly. I hope this helps!

Does day stamp have any rewards or unlocked or animations that motivates you as you progress through your habits?
@jaykaslo
@jaykaslo 3 ай бұрын
Good question. Day Stamp is not particularly "gamified", so there's not much in terms of unlocking features or getting any kind of bonuses if you perform well. The most that I noticed was a basic confetti animation that played when I reached my goal (of watering plants 3 times per week). Any time you set a specific goal and achieve it that animation will play, but as far as I can tell, that's about it.

@@jaykaslois there any for quitting addictions?
@jaykaslo
@jaykaslo 3 ай бұрын
@@BombCyclone7 Have you heard of Habitica? ( habitica.com ) It's not really to my liking personally, but if you're super into gaming, this might be up your alley. Also, one thing you might like (that I didn't mention in Habit Tracker, because I don't use it) is that it has a Group feature... where you can invite friends/family to participate in the same habits. Again, I haven't tried it out, but in theory could be good to add a little *competition* and *accountability* into the mix.
@jaykaslo
@jaykaslo 3 ай бұрын
@@BombCyclone7 And I'm not familiar with any apps that are specifically targeted at quitting addictions, but one thing I will say conceptually is... I've heard it said (and it's been my personal experience) that one of the main keys to breaking addiction is not to focus on the thing you're trying to quit, but instead focus on REPLACING that bad habit with *something else*. For example, if you just keep telling yourself "Don't eat cake. Don't eat cake...." guess what? You're probably going to want to eat cake. But if you replace that urge with something else entirely... like going for a bike ride (or whatever, something else that you enjoy that is *healthier*)... that can work well.

And what a wonderful world it will be when everything is mega-efficiently run by AI with no human touch. Sheesh. (Btw you can clearly see the video’s 23 minutes before you started, so if you don’t care to know every detail about a habits app, why bother even starting this video and complaining about it?) There’s no way you can even see how Awesome Habits analytics looks from the free trial or how I offered a work-around for the issue of dealing with not being able to pin multi-habits from reading reviews in 5 minutes. May not matter to you, but some people actually care about details, especially if they’re going to pay $23 for an important app they’ll use for years.)

Hey there, thanks for your comment. Funny that you said that, because I'm actually a huge fan of all the AI tech coming out these days (in fact, ALL imagery in this video was generated with AI.) As big a fan as I am though, I do have my concerns about what humanity and society will look like long-term. [Even though information is incredibly abundant and readily available, if you look around, intelligence is often waning in average people. If anything, I feel like humanity is looking more like Idiocracy than some other more lofty sci-fi predictions.] At this point it seems to come down to how optimistic or pessimistic one is. Me, I'm a blend of both... as I look at what's happening these days as a wild ride, and I'm going to enjoy the ride, even if it ends up (eventually) in the demise/extinction of humanity (a la Matrix, etc.) ... On another note, even though yes there's ominous themes in this mock teaser/trailer I made, there's still some silly, light-hearted moments in there... which I feel is reminiscent of Black Mirror, one of the [many] reasons why I love the show.
