If they are Comets or Shubunkin Goldfish like mine I would say yes unless they lived for 5 years in a pond and are 14 inches long! My goldfish are about 3 years old an I would say my 2 Shubunkins are about 11 inches long and fully grown. My comets are all 7 to 9 inches. Fully grown. These fish can live up to 15 years if taken care of properly

I enjoyed your video as they are not too many goldfish videos out there. But I don't understand why you would ever have ammonia in your tank. I have never had ammonia in my goldfish tank as long as your tank is cycled you should not have any ammonia.

Thanks for watching! I think that the build up in the back of the intakes is what occasionally causes a rare slight spike for me. I just blow it out, do a water change, and add some zeolite to a filter. It can happen to anyone with a cycled tank. It happens thousands of times a day with people with cycled tanks. I rarely get a spike and if I do it's minor(less than .50) and I deal with it. I think with me it was a process of learning what worked for my aquarium as far as a maintenance schedule. Since then I removed one of my FX2' s from the aqurium and I like the performance better! Thanks again!

Just got one of this, as my tank gone absolutely green.. For 24/7 running do i need to disconnect the timer and connect it straight to the main? Also many suggest for longevity life of bulb run it 24/7, don't know if it is true or not...

Thanks for watching! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I was on vacation! You probably figured it out but...this is what the manual says. "To run UVC unit continuously: Press the timer Power button. The Operating Status light should illuminate in Green to indicate normal functionality." You should not bypass the timer. The green light tells you if it is operating properly.

Just stumbled on your channel. Frist off I have the exact same tank from PetSmart. 👍🏻 On your tank do you have an Fx6 and Fx2 running? I've been using an Fx4 for about 6 years and think it does the job. I've seen other KZfaqrs run a two canister system and thought if you did this it would cause problems with your tanks. Is it better to run a two canister system? Also you mentioned that you clean the impeller every couple of months. I never knew you were supposed to clean that. Can you do a video of how to get to it to clean? Lastly how do you keep the glass on the top of the clean? The rubber part in the middle of the lid has separated and now when I lift the lid where the handle is, the glass sperates and comes off.

Yes...I have multiple FX filters running on my 125G goldfish aquarium. I see some of the most successful YT fishkeepers running multiple filters all the time. I think it can cause problems if you don't stagger the maintenance due to the biomedia or if you don't locate the intakes on the same side. It also gives you a backup if you have issues and prevents me from needing a wavemaker. It also improves the CO2 / Oxygen exchange. You would not believe how gunked up the impeller gets. It definitely needs to be cleaned. I will do a video on the impeller at some point. Thanks for the suggestion!!! I clean the bottom of the glass and top with a hand towel dipped in aquarium water and then dry the top with a dry towel. I suggest emailing Aqueon to inquire about how to repair the glass separation issue.

Very nice tanks. I agree with that many goldfish in the tanks you need all that filtration. Everyone looks happy and healthy. Have you considered maybe rehoming a few of the goldfish so you might not have to perform so much maintenance? I had a 125 and loved it but its pretty time consuming doing maintenance.

Thanks so much! I love my goldfish. They are all fully grown so I plan on keeping all of them. Yes...it's more work but I enjoy doing it. Except for when I spill aquarium water all over myself...lol
