The apparatus is classified as a Tower/Platform, yes. However, the company is called Ladder 5. Wake County does not use the "Tower" designation, Tower just refers to the apparatus itself.

One of those mobile homes didn't look uninhabited! I rather curious in light of the fact none of these buildings were preported to be inhabited was a cause determined? If no one was living there arson would definitely be a cause to consider.
@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing7 ай бұрын
There was no media coverage as far as I have seen, so I do not have any further information than I was able to gather by radio traffic or those on scene. I believe there was a responsible party on scene, but it was believed that all of the involved structures were uninhabited. As far as cause, I have no idea. The fire started in/around one of the structures, and then quickly spread to the surrounding area and other structures. I haven't seen anything regarding what started the fire or where exactly it started.

Nice catch. Do they have a utility that they send to medicals as well or just the engine?
@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing7 ай бұрын
They do have a Utility, 985. However, it is not used as an emergency responder vehicle. It's typically just for additional personnel or equipment to a scene. For medicals needing assistance from fire, Angier will just pull the first out truck, which is Engine 922. It is staffed by a paid crew weekdays during the day and would be available to respond quickly like in this video.

@@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing might have not been at the time, but now 922 is staff 24/7
@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing3 ай бұрын
@@theswaff699 I thought 922 was only staffed during the day on weekdays, but this was just after 7pm so that makes sense. I wasn't aware they changed it, and didn't really think about it. Appreciate the info!

Yes, because Swift Creek's station is a few blocks down the road. Cary was responding from further out. It's Cary's jurisdiction but Swift Creek gets added in this area because they are closer.

I'm going to reply in English to avoid translation errors. I spread out my videos so I have something to post every week. I do not get videos every week, so I cannot just post all the time as I'll run out. I prefer posting constantly to keep the channel active, rather than just posting everything when I edit it and then not posting until I get more. I don't get videos often because of my work, this is not likely to change any time soon.

I have got Durham units in Wake County before, but I do not go into Durham. I live in Harnett County and work in Wake County, the content I get is pretty much entirely either me responding from home or catching while I'm working. Durham is just too far out of the way for me. Maybe one day I may get something, we'll see.

Wow a lot of helpful people in this city …. Remind me not to go here!!
@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing11 ай бұрын
There were a good few people assisting with this including myself. Most people will ignore it and try to get around it or turn around, this is anywhere in the world, location doesn't matter. We had enough people helping though, more people stopping in traffic to help would only get in the way of first responders who are able to help much more. A rule of thumb, if there are already a lot of people there, you aren't needed and will only get in the way. I stayed, because I was first on scene being in traffic behind the car hit. If I got there 5 minutes later, I would not have stopped. I was actually working at that moment anyway, so I had plenty of reason not to stay.

@@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing my son is 20 years old and a volunteer firefighter and no way would he let me just drive on by like many people did .. it’s sad that many people think of themselves first rather those who need help!!
@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing11 ай бұрын
@@jimhardy4750 There was nothing any more people could have done. We already had 6 bystanders including myself, plus 1 passenger in the rolled over SUV that also was helping the driver. There were 3 people in the cars combined, only 1 was seriously hurt which is where the attention was. The passenger of that SUV and some other guys were already tending to her, and the other driver was minor which another bystander checked on. I initially checked on the rollover vehicle, and those other guys took over. I then assisted the DOT guy with managing traffic, which was the bigger issue, until emergency personnel arrived. There was nothing any further bystanders could do. Some who were trapped in traffic by the accident even walked over to check and saw there was nothing they could do. Plus, more cars stopped in the road would only be more of an issue for traffic control. The reason I didn't leave to get my car out of the way after first responders had the situation under control, was because I caught the accident on camera and needed to give that to the officers working the scene, and that road was closed by the accident anyway.
@JamesTheFoxFireBuffing11 ай бұрын
I'm not saying you shouldn't stop and help, you most definitely should if you can. However, there is such a thing as too many helpers. If you have too many people helping, it can make the situation worse for first responders.
