If you're just trying to get gold, don't cut the kerbs...slow down for the first chicane, slowing the car before the left hand kerb is visible (down to second briefly, then up to third for the exit), stay off the kerbs. Similar story with the second chicane, but take a wide line, don't go near the left kerb. If your sector is 22.000 of under, you're on track. Keep the tight right hander smooth, don't be afraid to shift into first to kick the rear around, but shift up before accelerating (turn on TCC to 1 temporarily if you have trouble with a good exit). Brake early for the last chicane, (120m), cut the corners as much as you can, but don't touch the grass at all, exit in 4th. ^This is good for a Gold time on a slightly above average lap

Sitting at a very low 1:00, provisionally gold, with a very tiny gap to breath. Will try to push under 1:00 when my arm and finger recovers from yesterday's driving

Im using the same car but auto shift only, sitting at a mid 2:19. This one is indeed easier compared to many recent TT, as evident by the fact that more than 10% players got gold at the moment.

I was considering trying some other cars, also not only mid engine. But had no time to do so until now. But the challenge as you mention as well is easier compared to the last weeks.

Wow you can certainly do a sub 7:41 if you have better used the width of the track at a few corners. For the TT itself, it is a lot easier than Nordschlefie but for players who aren't familiar with the key points to this track (i.e. braking points and exit speed) it will take a bit of time to perfect it.

Yea they are giving us an easy TT this week so we can go back to keep pushing at the Nordschelife. P1 and P2 are still pushing with several hundred km of driving every day (and more on the weekends).

After 2 nights of trying and 6 complete laps, I am only on a mid-7:44 with AT (which is autoshift in English - I noticed that your game, or perhaps yourself as well, are probably German)... This one is hard not because of the track but the car. Sports hard tyres are still manageable, I just need to brake early enough, but the stiff suspension does not cooperate at all when hitting the kerbs of high speed corners. As to switching from AT to MT, while I have quite a decent time (a lower 6:30s) on the Circuit Experience of Nordschleife with MT, my shifting skills is still very much limited by my understanding of the car. In other words, it varies from car to car, if not also being affected by the combination with the track. I hope I have the time to practice. BTW the gold time has been moved forward...

Yes, my game as well as myself am German / from Germany. I noticed yesterday that the Gold time border moved, so I went for some laps and was able to improve to a 7:42,861. So by now I am more or less safe again. But those guys from Japan are really fast on Nordschleife challenges. I already noticed during the challenge in the Honda Civic HRC last time. So I fear within the next days the time might move some more.

@@aubitube As an amateur gamer, I did something a little bit uncommon for my taste. I usually restart if I couldn't do a satisfactory time by the end of sector 2 or 3, but am curious what may happen if I went on to drive it. It turns out I set a better time than last night with lots of blemishes and so I gave it another go to eventually squeeze into a very high 7:42, and noticed that there are perhaps another 0.5 to 1 second of improvement. I noticed the same trend during the Honda Civic run as well, but I have a feeling that they haven't even given their best for that one (frankly, that is a far easier car to drive than this one too). I guess I have to stick with AT for this time, but am interested to see what I can pull if I have the time to practice MT...... not easy to work-life balance after all.

It's very hard to grasp the balance of the car's turning and trial braking. I'm currently within 10% worldwide ranking but outside of the provisional gold time cut-off.

Laguna Seca is hard at first but very rewarding when you get used to it. one of my all time favorite tracks together with the Nordschleife. Greetings from Warstein.

I think the racing line for this one is very important. You probably have another 0.5 sec to cut if you perfect 2-3 sausage kerb corners. I am only driving on auto for this one and still manage a provision gold time with just about 0.5 sec breathing space, and I am not sure if my observation is accurate, that braking with all 4 wheels on the tarmac is a lot more predictable than sticking one side of the wheels on the kerb at the cost of a more narrow line. I noticed that you did not avoid the kerb but could still brake efficiently however. Overall speaking, I didn't quite enjoy this one, it pushed me quite hard and the sausage corners are just hard to be consistent at. Separately, your video looks quite a lot darker than the clips by other KZfaq players. It's a little hard to watch TBH.

Thanks for the feedback. I just switched to a new monitor setup. Maybe I need to check some settings cause it also seemed quite dark to me when I reviewed the recorded files. Of course after recording it was too late to change anything about it.

This one is really hard. I managed a time which is nearly as fast as yours at Le Mans but had to settle for a high 1:40 for this one. I noticed that you aren't even getting the lines right in sector 1, but still making the gold time. I'm on a controller with pad acceleration and AT shifting. Getting the execution right is quite difficult on this track and more so with this car.

For me the issue is the car. Drivability and feeling for grip is not the best in this one…

@@aubitube yea it's hard to judge the grip level on the low speed corner (especially if the car goes too deep onto the kerb) and the 130R is a strange one as well
