Hi, could you plz share How much you charge per sq ft and where all in states you have service at?

Costs can vary greatly depending on condition of the concrete. I would expect costs anywhere from $4000 - 6500 for a two car garage with some typical wear. We only serve the Central Oregon region at this time, but can make a referral for you depending on your location.

Polyurea will be the more expensive coating. Epoxy systems are the most low cost driven.

Hi Weston, would you recommend a polyurea base over an area exposed to sunlight and gets occasional water over it due to heavy rain? To make things even more challenging, the area has oldschool tiles, which we have sanded down.

@webfoot_home 3 ай бұрын
It seems like it could be a viable solution, however anytime you're adhering to tile rather than concrete, there is risk of failure. You may want to consider removing the tiles. With heavy rains, ground moisture can also be an issue which could warrant a water barrier layer as a primer coat. With all this investment in the coating, this further warrants proper prep of the surface by removing the tiles. Good luck!

What’s the difference between polyurea and polyaspartic? And which product is better for garage and driveway applications? Thank you
@webfoot_home
@webfoot_home 8 ай бұрын
The key difference is going to be adhesion. Polyaspartics were originally designed as top coats, not to be applied directly to concrete. We use it as a top coat for it's abrasion and UV resistance. Polyaspartics do form a fairly strong bond to properly prepped concrete, but the bond is not nearly as strong as polyurea which forms a near permanent bond to the concrete. When tested for adhesion, our Penntek polyurea at over 1300lbs/sq inch rips the concrete off with it. This is a different level of adhesion, and in this game, adhesion matters. Hope you found this helpful. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kJyhqLOY0p7HY40.html

@@webfoot_home So do you use polyurea as a base coat and polyaspartic as your top coat ? Thank you for your response and videos.
@gavinhepp9657

@@pozmarciv that's correct. The strongest adhesion, excellent UV protection. BUT not all polyureas and polyaspartics are created equal. Many contain filler material that gets off gased as they cure. We use 99.5% pure polyurea. The 0.5% is the tinting colorant. Many on market are as low as 65% pure polyurea. I'm getting into the weeds here, but it plays into how long these coatings last!

If the polyaspartic top coat is extremely strong in odor for many days or weeks does that mean it was mixed with something else?
@webfoot_home
@webfoot_home 6 ай бұрын
@@Dawn-tv1bk fair question to ask. There isn't one polyaspartic that we all use. Each one has it's own formulation depending on the manufacturer. Odors lasting 24-48 hours is common as that topcoat cures. Once cured, there shouldn't be any odor that remains. Weeks of odor smells like an issue :) Potentially the topcoat wasn't mixed properly and that's extended the cure time. Potentially it will never cure due to poor mixing. This would show up as sticky, softer areas and would be pretty noticeable. If it's a "water downed" polyaspartic, containing chemicals within the product that off-gas over time, this could be what you are smelling, but that's hard know. Hopefully this helps a bit! 24-48 hrs of odor is common, beyond that there could be an issue. Open doors and get air flowing and see if that remedies the issue. Inspect for soft, sticky areas. Thank you!

Biggest downfall ofMDF is the impact resistance capabilities. If you dropped a hammer on a maple or oak door, you might have a slight damage to the finish, and no to very light damage to the door itself. MDF doors would have a very noticeable dent. However with cabinetry, you don't normally deal with impacts like that, and therefore it's a non issue.

Great insight! And you're spot on, tough to drop a hammer on a vertical door :) We use an HDF material for our cabinets, much denser and tougher than MDF. Combined with the added impact resistance of powder coating, you've got a serious tough cabinet. Thanks @TopNotchChampion

Wrong, if the concrete is hard than you should be using a soft bond Diamond and hard bond if you had soft concrete.

Yes. They hold up well. Battery acid, not so much. It will be fine if mopped up soon.
