That just happened to me. She asked for 1€. I pulled my wallet and gave her a 2€ coin. She didn’t accept it and asked for the 5€ she saw in my wallet. Then another one pulled up and did the absolute same thing. Everything you said is true. But these rules apply to everyone here and people are pretty strict about rules and customs here in germany. And we really like having our peace and quiet.
