Thank you for the great video. On mine, only the ring is broken. Dealer isn't selling the ring itself and its $136. So, I bought on the OEM parts website for $5.99 and went for a pick up at the local dealer😂😂😂

Hi. I don’t see a part 2… How much did they charge you per ton? How many tons did you go with and how has it held up now that a year has passed?

good video. I have a 2015 S Class and one of the rear belts is just stuck. The dealer is telling me $2,500 to fix it. I just want to be able to get to the belt mechanism. How do I do that? Thanks

By the way, those clips are like impossible to get off without breaking. Such a crappy design on a $200,000 vehicle.

I have this same problem, its insane how crappy this design is for this car. My first 2 that broke was covered under warranty. Another broke off last week. Looking for an easy way to replace. This looks impossible to fix without breaking the clip thingy apart

U have to replace the fuse under the hood of the cascadia or glove box of the columbia and century class as well as check fuse behind driver seat along side the wall your left arm slides on when sitting. And far as fixing the pins on the trailer any truck stop have that same pin setup just unbolt and follow the pin order to connect the wires and bolt back to the trailer

If you're doing a fluid change aren't you supposed to drain the fluid from the bottom of the power steering pump housing? If you only suck it out of the reservoir you're going to add fresh new fluid to all the old stuff that's still in the pump right?
@jerometaylor554

Right, that’s how I was told to drain it.

That's what the manuel for my Columbia says. Plus, I'd be careful spraying brake cleaner on plastic. If that stuff gets to those o-rings or thin seals it could cause it to swell.

No way man harbor freight 30 ton jack and just jack up the front until the tension comes off that front suspension and the pan you got like a 2 inch clearance you didn’t have to do any of that that’s fucking crazy now you got a torque all that down to spec you can’t just put it back together with it with a ratchet that’s crazy man I hope you don’t work at a shop he would charge me five hours longer than anyone else
@BIGGQ500
@BIGGQ500 2 жыл бұрын
Does it look like I work at a shop lol and I tried what u said the lip stops the pan from dropping reason u have to drop the front end any other truck u don’t have too believe me I asked shops before I did it and this was my way and it work and I have heavy duty tools and torque wrench that shops carry so truck is still running strong so saved myself over 1500 in service from freight liner

Once every 5 years or 300-500k miles. It’s not like engine oil with combustion, it’s a closed system like a rear end gearbox or transmission. So it depends on how you use the truck. Logging and dump trucks, or heavy haul may need sooner.

A shop had to drop my front axle to get the oil pan out. Those O-rings on the oil pick up start deteriorating and need to be replaced about 500k miles. You need to check for cracks in the plastic. That will cause low oil pressure also.
@BIGGQ500
@BIGGQ500 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah its a pretty decent job. One guy said drop oil pan and reach in and unbolt pick up feed.. but there's not a lot of wiggle room trying to reinstall. I like dropping the axle or in my case since the axle wouldn't budge i drop the entire front leaf hanger .
