Couple of comments. I like how you put vaseline on the lens for that cool effect and your zipper is down. 😜🤪 Having a bigger bag for the awning is nice but does that extra room flap around when driving? 1 more..how much does it weigh?

A ton of options, exactly what the industry needs. That said I am running the Yakima Aerobars on the Skyline Towers. It runs everything I put on top of my truck topper (ARE), with one exception. When camping I want to be able to access the back of my pickup truck bed, meaning that will be my sleep area. The issue I have encountered is mounting the awning to the back of my truck. I travel with the awning attached to the side and use it there, but want the option to mount it on the back of the truck (stationary only - not traveling with it across the back). I am running the ARB 2500 x 2500, Touring Aluminum Housed Awning with Deluxe Awning Room. Since I have the Yakima rails and skyline towers already installed, and using the aerobar crossbars, what bracket system would you have to mount my awning on the side for travel, and be able to use my ARB Quick disconnect brackets to move the awning to rear of the truck for mounting and use while camping and fishing for several days or use at the beach, etc.?
@gamiviti4828
@gamiviti4828 21 күн бұрын
hi there, thanks for watching! Easiest way to solve this would be to replace those Aero Bars with some simple extrusion cross bars... www.gamiviti.com/cross-bars that would allow you to run our rack receivers on the side using the adapter plates, and run another set of rack receivers across the back, bolted sideways. Your awning would then be able to mount in either location. it might also be possible to drill through those aero bars to add the backing plates, and/or rack receivers, then bolt them through what you already have.

Making my decision easier! Got a question, do these come with dual color led lights? Oh wait, any plans on making a 60 series dash accessories mount like the ones you have on the 80 and other series?
@gamiviti4828

no lights with this one... and no, the 60 doesn't have a center channel speaker so can't really do a dash mount like the 200 series & GX models.

thanks! and thanks for watching. too bad there isn't a similar removal panel in the 80 or 100 series, or we would have already created those as well. Only options I've seen so far involve drilling straight into the dash, which isn't ideal for most.

I have the same leaking air chuck. The gauge on the compressor is not accurate at all and tires end up over inflated. The single tire inflation hose is cheap and doesn’t get a good seal on some valve stems. I have yet to use the 4 tire inflation system. I’m not very happy so far for what I paid.

... But can you use it with a rear lift door?
@gamiviti4828
@gamiviti4828 3 ай бұрын
Yes. usually requires you to lower the door to swing it out, then raise the door again up into it. this is worse with 4Runners, a little less worse on split tailgates, but totally doable. Also the flexibility of the Batwing works to your advantage here, compared to more rigid awnings like OVS.

So with ram mount two hole mounts, go to Home Depot and grab some screws and locking nuts?
@gamiviti4828
@gamiviti4828 3 ай бұрын
Yes pretty much. Alternatively you could tap 1/4-20 threads into the accessory mount, then run screws in from the top and not have to mess with nuts. You can see this done in the GX460 video about the 3:15 mark kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qJ1mdNSH1rOWaKs.html

that fitting leaking is not good but the overall system is better than morrflate and the moab air compressor which are similar. So thors needs to do some QC on those fittings. Saw them at the CAlifornia Overland show this past weekend and was going to pull the trigger in this unit but decided to wait.

This really isn't how you use recovery boards so it's kind of a shitty, unfair test. Yes they can help in situations like this, yes they can level the vehicle when camping, however, they are meant for beach recovery where the boards are placed in a hole at 45ish degrees.

I've been looking at this unit and the Moreflate...they are probably the same thing. The 'M' mode is for filling 1 tire I think. So I don't think there is an actual "manual" mode. It shuts off to measure the pressure to see where it's at and if it needs to add more air. I always find it fascinating to that air passing through a hose will make it hot but they all do that. I have a portable fan that I keep in my 80 series Land Cruiser that I direct airflow over the compressor that I have to keep it cool. It makes it so you don't have to wait around to let the compressor cool down which you couldn't put back in the bag if it was hot.
@gamiviti4828
@gamiviti4828 4 ай бұрын
thanks for watching! "M" is definitely for changing units... it'll scroll through psi, bar, etc. The manual says the power button activates both modes. And the compressor shuts off a few times regardless of mode, and really early on in the fill cycle, usually the first shut-off is within 10-20 seconds of starting. But then it'll run another 3 minutes without turning off once it's done its 2-3 shut offs

Hi Looking great. What’s the max weight to use this ladder? And do you have any issues so far?
@gamiviti4828
@gamiviti4828 6 ай бұрын
don't have a number for weight limit, but there haven't been any issues so far with any of them. The weakest piece is the lower bumper bracket, which could bend if there was a really big side load, or if it gets rubbed against a tree or rock- it can also be bent back. It's a little delicate climbing up as there's not a ton of room between the ladder and vehicle body, but for the occasional need to pop up onto the rack it gets the job done well, and provides another attachment point for Rotopax, etc.
