Great episode! Nuclear financing and payback period were others things that you could dive deeper into. Please add chapter timestamps if you can.

AI is using magnitudes more energy than EVs ever will. AI is the reason tons of coal fire plants will not go offline as planned. It's ironic that you think AI is going to somehow help the energy crisis.

What a joke! “Pointing a sheet of glass at the sun is the cheapest way to produce energy” Bahhaha This guy lost any credibility he had & any I was going to give him. Either he’s uninformed, lying or just stupid!

Beef is often grown on land thats not good to drive tractors on and farm corn on. Beef can be grown without using fossil fuels. Beef done right is key. This was a great video! Loved it 😊

There is no debate! There should be no incentives at all until/unless there is are multiple revolutionary scientific breakthroughs that some how make hydrogen power economical. -- But that's not likely, stop shill'ing this garbage green washing balloney!!! -- Anyone with half a brain can see that we have known global warming was coming for over 45 years now, even longer since the initian concerns were raised. Why haven't we done anything? Partly/Mostly it's because of efforts like this from petrochemical companies to distract, delay, and sow doubt. YOU ARE MAKING YOURSELF CULPABLE FOR THE DEATHS OF MILLIONS BY PROMOTING THIS GARBAGE!

What are you sniffing? ÇO2 is not a problem. The problem is that tyrants who want control over our lives want to be able to shut off our stuff if we don't do whatever they want us to do, like where we want to go and eat. You need mental health care.

Bah will anything happen in time though? Probably not. The permafrost is melting, the Arctic will be ice free in summer probably sooner rather than later and at that stage climate change will crush human civilization like a bug. At every turn climate change has proven itself to be quicker and more severe than the experts predicted. We've tons of great ideas now, the only problem is we didn't have them 50 years ago. Solar geoengineering is our last possible hope of buying the time to do all the other stuff we should have been doing 50 years ago. Ps boomers can go to heII

This rather goofy discussion of heat pumps seems to exist outside the zone in which there will be widespread adoption of technologies such as home PV solar power, battery-based home energy storage with demand response, super insulation of existing buildings and regulation-mandated construction of new energy efficient buildings. All of these technologies and others - combined with the innate efficiency advantage of heat pumps - should combine to make full function electricity-powered heat pumps by far the preferred HVAC solution for new and existing homeowners. Just one example with existing technology - the Trane heat pump in my mother's climate zone 5 home, a 4 ton unit installed in the early 2000's, was cost neutral for 3 seasons and added 30-40% (NOT 3X!!) to the electric bill in the winter - but was ALWAYS cheaper than the earlier natural gas solution, because the gas cost even more than the electricity!
