I just chanced upon your video and so glad I did it was so enjoyable watching the cottage take shape and all from your imagination and patience. Could I ask what the fabric is that you used for the walls I absolutely have a room waiting for such a perfect look. I was also interested in what tool you use to cut the wooden sections. I struggle using a hand saw! Loved every minute.
@mymoonstonelibraryАй бұрын
Thank you so much for your very kind words 💛 In terms of fabric (i'm not an expert) I think it's some sort of cotton but it was very stiff so it didn't move around easily which was great! For the wood pieces I mainly used a scissor or a diagonal plier and then used sandpaper to sand down the sharp edges 😊

I love how cozy you have made it. Can I ask how you stuck the book pages onto the wall? I love that look. I live in a very small space also and sleep in a similar day bed. I would like to use some of your ideas especially the old map. I love maps. The look feels warm and cuddly.

Thank you! I miss my tiny apartment sometimes so this is a fun project to be able to rewatch and remember it. Feel absolutley free to use any I idea you want! It makes my heart warm that some of them inspired you. For the book pages I used poster putty and it was pretty easy to get of the walls when I took them down ❤️❤️

Cool. Is this a play scale? I usually make miniatures in 1:12, 144, or 1:24 scale. Love this project.
@mymoonstonelibrary3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I actually don't know what play scale this is in haha. I don't really measure the furniture or decorations I make because I guess I'm just to impatient. But I'm glad you liked it :)

The desk up in my room, that I used as inspiration for the miniature desk in my video, was built by my mother's grandpa and he actually also intentionally made the legs to big for the desk because he thought it looked better that way ❤️
