Reminds me of the nature of capitalism, and that is greed, as no matter what happens, even if a freakin deadly virus breaks out, we still must keep the gears of the economy turning, working even with the risk of death itself, almost as if we are carrying something above us and if we don't, we get crushed. Yet the tragic part of this is only those above benefit from this, while we here just work relentlessly but only for the benefit of those above us. Essentially we the working class is just a machine that also must be fed with fuel (or gas as you call it), which is the paycheck that keeps us hooked but eventually this entire working class machine will be replaced with the machine itself, a creation of ourselves in out own image, which I'm guessing is AI and robotics, but even so, I still hope of a world were AI, machinery and automation can do all the work for us, eventually to a point where we gain full freedom, full control of our own time, working only if we have the will, rather than being forced, but sadly it will only be a glim of light, as I see darkness ahead, the potential of these greedy capitalists taking it all for themselves, leaving us into a weird position. I just hope that doesn't happen, with us the people fighting against the nature of capitalism itself, as if we let its nature take over, it can lead the rest of us into a dark place, because of those capitalists who have imploded, turning into a blackhole, wherein it just consumes everything on its path, trying to fill in the hole that has grew so large its become impossible to fill, but that hole is greed. Although capitalism is great, as it has better advantages that any other system, it is still very important to set the limits and boundaries so that we may not fall of a cliff.

As a 34th century SnakeShip Salesman, I have to say... ...that is one Frakking Sexy Space Brick. It's almost as Kool as the Sleek Brick-like Styling of the Keelback (no *exclusive* rotating side engines, and I'm assuming that you don't have an Optional Spoiler... ...The Girls really dig The Spoiler;-). To be fair this is probably before the invention of the Friendship Drive so the spoiler wouldn't be any use to you. Finally! Someone has finally side stepped Skynet! Yay! Some will make comparisons to Avatar, but that is a mistake. This is hard SF, not romantic space opera. Yep... AI doesn't have to even notice humans... Why should it? Its got a job to do, and it was never told it to match supply with demand. Its very important that people don't get the wrong idea here. The factories are not mindless. They are just dedicated. The engineers who designed the factories to be so resiliant, no dought expected the environmental challenges on the planet to be far more hostile than they turned out to be. They expected the factories to be subjected to external contraints beyond their control, or they expected a lot of stock brakage. As with many introduced organisms, the factoris thrived in plauge proportions because the planet had no natural defences against the industial enslaught. A VERY worthy effort! With real class under its belt. Inspirational and thought provoking. Well done to all personnel involved in the project. Carry on!

@@paulchadeisson5891 I’m most impressed that you give a shit about audience feedback. I was listening to your work while chainsawing firewood. It’s winter here in Australia. But OMG, cutting up trees while listening to your ideas was… hard core! I’ll never forget it. More power to you sir! You are not alone. I love the scope of your work. There are so many opportunities to flesh it out. The worker element is most interesting as making a direct connection to human labour and the factories was beyond the scope of this short film project. Couldn’t help making links to Chernobyl. The saddest thing for me about industrial disasters is how so many good people get caught up in the mincer. By good I mean excellent: well meaning, dedicated talented idealistic, brave. People you would like to know. Even the ‘bad guys’ have complexity and depth to their character. I’d really like to know how you intend to flesh out the human role in these automated factories because on the surface there seems to be little need for humans in the loop. They are certainly not capable of shutting things down. I’m reminded of the Foundation series, where on planets with nuclear power, the human caretakers were little more than a quasi religious sect with no deep knowledge of how to repair the technology.
