Would look better with the wheels repainted. Rather than the suggested SILVER . I think DARK silver would be nice!
@bradleyjamesclassics3 күн бұрын
@@nygelmiller5293 opinions vary :-)…….the gent who brought the car loved the wheels as they were and I thought they looked very smart ‘as is’…….but I think dark grey might look great too.

@bradleyjamesclassics thanks for replying! (About the colour of the wheels on the Wolseley!) I also think people should , to an extent, update their Morris Minors, by painting THEIR wheels ordinary silver. After all, that DOES go well with the CHROME! I noticed during a "I drive a classic" video of a Morris Minor meeting, that on the subject of COLOUR some people have done what I myself would do. And that is deal with the nasty, dated cream, this time on the grille bars! THOSE , in my opinion would look nice in silver, with silver wheels! Updated, but without losing the character! But, I meant that owners in the video HADN'T made the grille bars actually SILVER as such - most opted to have the same colour as the bodywork! SUBTLE! And a few opt for RED grille bars (looks good on a black car!) And how about chroming the bars?

@bradleyjamesclassics20 күн бұрын
I would agree with you if you were correct. Surely you must feel a little embarrassed making these sorts of statements? Sometimes it’s much better to say nothing, than say something thats wrong? This car didn’t have any corners cut whatsoever, it was owned by a true gentleman who is no longer with us. He would have laughed at your attempt to rubbish his car too.

Nice example. My TD6 Vogue is on a 2002 plate, I’ve had it 12 years & spent roughly £12,000 on non-routine maintenance (inc new gearbox, turbo, front suspension, wiper motor, fuel pump, steering angle sensor, discs all round plus 2 callipers, handbrake assembly.) Just watch out for the gearbox, don’t believe the sealed for life claims, the gearbox should be drained, flushed & oil changed every 50k (previous owner of mine clearly didn’t bother.) Mine also gets steam cleaned underneath & has full KROWN anti rust treatment every year in springtime. Clip on my channel 👍

Still in fairly good condition even now. Starts first time and drives very nicely. Not in perfect condition as it was standing outside for at least 7 months before I bought it, but still pretty good. Needs a bit of work to become perfect condition again but nothing majorly wrong with it. Clocked over 82,000 miles on the odometer the other day and still going strong

Dad had a 1964 Singer Vogue, beautiful car! Two tone blue and white with blue trim. Was a Humber Spectre mark1A between the mark1 & mark2, not sure what the differences were. The Humber Spectre was very rare in NZ, only recall seeing 1or2 as a kid. NZ never got the later Arrow series Humber Spectre or the Hillman New Minx.

Like the Super Snipe, not dragstrip performers BUT put a big trailer or caravan behind them and the massive torque comes into play; up most NZ hills without dropping below 30 mph. You knew you were going to get there without the need of working the cog box like a rally driver and with everything in tact. Nice to see this one being driven respectfully. I drive a 1950 Jowett and it pisses me off bigly when know-alls start up on its "short comings" as they eruditely compare it with their nice new Swift.
