Purchased this kit to remove 3 implants. The first implant came out with little to no effort. The second implant was another. I chose to use a new fixture capture screw for the second implant as a precaution. The part engaging the internal threads of the implant separated inside the implant. Has anyone encountered this problem? I emailed pictures of the involved implant and fixture capture screw to Megagen per their instructions. No response. I contacted Megagen and spoke with the original salesperson. No Bueno... can't take this product back despite the fact that the other fixture capture screws show signs of rust/oxidation at the point of instrument separation. Does anyone want a 911 kit minus 1 fixture capture screw? I would be glad to send it to you at no charge. Caveat emptor!

Even though you placed a 5.0, the core is still a 3.3. The goal of wider implants is to have more mechanical strength of the prosthetic components (I think...). The issue I have with this system is that the platform/connection remains the same no matter what core diameter you place. Maybe it’s a 5.0 at the threads, but for a molar you still end up with a 3.3, which under function is more at risk of fracturing. If you have enough space in your ridge to place a 5.0 in soft bone, why don’t you underprep the osteotomy and actually use a 5.0 core diameter implant?
