In the post 1990 times, in a hospital in Moscow, an old men, war veteran, and a younger one, a so-called "novyy Russki" - a citizen which got very rich, by various business and meanings, not necessarily very orthodox (the meanings, I mean), are both internee in the same hospital ward. At one point, as it is normal, they started to talk, to avoid getting bored etc. Both of them are plastered, injured and bruised. - Hey, grandpa, why are you here? Age related problems? - No, son, not really. You see, I have an old Zaporozhets car, I love it, and one day I thought it would be good to make some improvements. As I had in the garage a Messerschmitt engine, he,he - war trophy, I replaced the original motor with this German beast and then I got out on the highway, to see what it is capable. Of course, when I did accelerate, it got so fast that I only stopped with my car in a trunk of a tree... and here I am, in this hospital ward. What about you, why are you here? - Well, grandpa, I was driving my brand new Lamborghini on the highway, when all of a sudden, I was outrun, in an infernal speed, by a poor bloody Zaporozhets. Knowing that such a thing is not possible, I thought my car is out of gear, so I opened the door to get out and see what's the problem..

Yes, the vegetation is too abundant, to say the "management" of CFR is lacking is being kind, and this was 10 years ago, nowadays things are even worse. In the meantime they built the new Pitesti railway station, demolishing the old building, that was part of the original stations of this line, when it could gave easily been integrated into the modernisation. The flooring in the new station is made of gloss light brown tiles, that look permanently filthy, an effect that is amplified by the "cleaning" staff, who wash them with the same black water, spreading the dirt left and right. At least the escalators were working the last time I was there in 2019, unlike on Bucratest's Pasajul Basarab in 2018, when they were all out of service because the municipality wasn't paying the constructor Astaldi for the infrastructure operating maintenance (as per contract), so everybody had to climb the stairs to reach the tram stop on the bridge.
