Great video. I have an 84 made in Japan squire Tele that I absolutely love. The neck is 7.25 but super thin with very little shoulder. I love it . Just curious. Does your have a thin neck as well?

Great video's learning a lot. Luther also really Kicked it in the A#$ on this take. I'm sure you know he also played a Jaguar for a short time.

Could you show how to activate or deactivate this dampener on the reverb tank? I've never seen a reverb tank in real life and nobody talks about that setting. But I absolutely love that sound!

I just put flatwound 13s on my esquire and they make my neck bow to a point its unplayable. Before you ask - yes i tightened the truss rod, but it doesnt help. Any suggestions? (i switched from 10s)

May I ask what kind of guitar you are using? It takes time for the neck to adjust to heavier gauge strings

Each time one of the “Top Ten Best of All Time Guitarists Lists” pop up and there’s no mention of LUTHER PERKINS, I know the writer did little more than thumb through some assorted online listings of popular guitarists. I usually think, “Probably some kid.” 🧐

This sounds great. You could add some filters to make it sound more 50s-like, and possibly buy some mics and different equipment they used back then(in the future).

You would have been a much better choice for a Luther replacement than Bob Wooten, but of course you would have been I guess not even born yet. I was fortunate to see Luther twice in Oakland, 1967 and San Carlos, the Circle Star, must have been 68. Or he would have been a ghost.
