I just made a big mistake by following this video . The back cover layer can be remove by peel it off after heat the panel using heat gun. No need to scratch it.

@@qaiss.11 JUST OPEN THE BACK GLASS AND HEAT IT GENTLY FROM ANY OF THE CORNERS. USE A SHARP BLADE LIKE THING AND PEAL OFF THE STICKER SLOWLY. REMEMBER HEAT THE GLASS FROM OUTISE OF THE GLASS. NOT FROM INSIDE AS THE STICKER PEELS OFF EASILY. U WILL END UP WITH A TRANSPARENT GLASS. AFTER THAT, RUB WITH PETROL FROM INSIDE TO REMOVE ONE MORE THIN LAYER OF TRANSPARENT FILM WHICH MAKES THE GLASS SUPER TRANSPARENT.

thanks for the video. btw if you peel from the edge it was much easier because it got some plastic layer to protect the sparkling layer. so just pull as one piece. plus, you can keep the xiaomi, android one logo etc. its printed on back of the glass. just dont clean it with alcohol etc.

How did the double sided tape affect water resistance? Would it be better to use t8000 industrial glue to preserve the water resistance?

No, t8000 will not make it water resistant again, the double side tape give a cleaner looks (t8000 make your phone messy) better for transparent looks
