Tonypandy today bears no resemblance to the bustling town it once was in the 1950s and 1960s. Sadly, however, that is true of almost ALL valley towns in South Wales.

Used to love Treorchy park as a child. There was a long winding paddling pool as I recall in 1940's and a fearsome slide.

I lived in Llan'dod for 10 years The memories of that time have turned me into a nostalgia freak.Mmm,To slowly walk to Shaky bridge on a quiet autumn afternoon - sky all grey and silver....And God bless the Spinning Wheel (the Rob era).And even if it is just as a one-off: experience the Victorian Festival.I loved Llan'dod;still do.So visit!

WoW!! Where is this place, is it in England somewhere? Just how I imagine a small-town in England to be! Love your choice of music too, awesome compared to most of the crap many KZfaqrs insist on assaulting our ears with!! Got to visit this place, anyone know where it is and how to get there? I notice some of the shops have a strange language, is that Greek or something? Is it an English Greek community or something?
@cerij42423 жыл бұрын
NOT England, Wales and the language you can't understand is Welsh.

hopefully i can get your opinion how hard would it be for my english family to intergrate and find work in llandeilo as it looks possible we will be moving to george hill in the near future and to be honest i wanted your opinion on how it is there and how people would act towards my family and i in general please thanks
@Ddraig3339 жыл бұрын
Llandeilo is a great little town set in a beautiful location - transport links by road and rail are good - the area has plenty to offer in terms of history, culture and outdoor activities - I am English ( Lancastrian ) and I have had no problems because of that - - work I can't comment on.
