I have a single strand electric wire around the bottom of the chain-link fence to keep anything from digging under or trying to poke its head through they squeeze through and get a little pop. I did see a chipmunk in my garden, but that’s it so far. All your videos are good quality. Keep at it. It takes a while, but eventually you may monetize that channel and as more and more people begin to figure out the cost of food and what the government is attempting to do with the food supply, they will continue to tune in to see what they need to do to grow a garden.

Glad to see you're doing collaborations with other KZfaq channels. My mom saved all our egg 🥚 shells and ground them up & had other folks saving their egg shells and she put as many as she could on our garden each year! That extra calcium in the soil grows beautiful plants & saving egg shells is much cheaper than buying calcium for the garden. 😁👍

Everything is looking great! I'll get my first squash picking today but my zucchini come on early and got blossom end rot so I've had to toss several out. The black gold holds moisture well so I know I haven't overwatered but we did get a lot of rain early on. I figured with the new location of the garden my pollinators hadn't found them yet. Once I noticed what was happening I started hand pollinating, that has helped. Could you do a video on the issues vegetables are susceptible to and how to treat? Thanks!
@deepriverfarm36157 күн бұрын
I’ll try to do a video. There are so many issues with pest and diseases that I probably couldn’t cover them all. Glad to hear the Black Gold is doing its thing. I would say it’s probably not that the pollinators haven’t found it but there’s just not that many around due to these cell towers and commercial pesticides.

Google Citizens Concerned About Chloramine - skin, eye, digestive, and respiratory symptoms complained about wherever chloramine is used. Chlorine is much more easily reduced in water than chloramine. Some people get no relief from whole house filtration for chloramine and have to move to a town with chlorine.

I appreciate you turning me on to the black gold, I’ve never had the turnout like I’ve had this year. All I’ve added was some 10-10-10 early on. And like you said, keeping up the weeds may be a full time job; and not that I like weeding the garden but its so easy pulling them out of the black gold.
@deepriverfarm361513 күн бұрын
That black gold is a highly kept secret that most people know nothing about. 80% of the nutrition that is in trees are found in the leaves. And when those are composted, and they turn to the black gold, you already have a rich DIRT that lacks nitrogen. As more and more people discover the benefits of using this product. The yield of their garden will highly increase.

I totally agree. I have never figured out how people plant it and leave it. But some do, of course they’re risking their life going in to the garden with all of the weeds and the overgrowth, but somehow they managed to get some produce. I’m sure it’s not the amount they would get if they would take care of, the garden.

@deepriverfarm361526 күн бұрын
Generally if I have dusted I won’t feed it to them without a good thorough washing. However, generally I dust before the produce comes in and get rid of the pest and then I’m not bothered with the pest anymore, and I don’t have to do anything as far as worry about dusting once the produce comes in.
