Contrary to the comments about people becoming Christian's I have a comment and you probably wont like it. Firstly God will save people where ever and when ever He chooses. Let's just say these salvation are genuine. I hope they are. But salvation via Alpha IS NOT a reference for Alpha. However, when you put the Alpha Course up against the Light and truth of Scripture which is our plumb line to judge truth from deception it is apparent that the Alpha Course is not only unbiblical but dangerous. Why? Firstly it is ecumenical taking people to Rome and to the feet of the Pope. Alpha is PRO ROMAN CATHOLIC. And Rome is an antichrist counterfeit religion within what is known as Christendom. Mr Gumbel is a false teacher. Period. He is probably the most dangerous religious leader within Protestant Chrisianity today. The Pope and Gumbel are helping on a global scale to build the end time antichrist system that will usher in the Antichrist. Satan does not mind how many people get saved if his ultimate aim is to deceive even the very elect. Ok? Hes good. Very good. Jesus talked a lot about deception in these days. My opinion is worthless. But the Word of God is the issue here. Scripture CLEARLY shows us that the Roman Catholic Church Is counterfeit. Where? Where? Where? .... When you think about it, really Jesus was inspiring the 12 apostles to basically go out and do the alpha course with anyone who would listen (of course we know it did not have the name Alpha back in the times when the apostles were preaching and teaching), it was, I am sure very challenging for those first 12, yet they persevered, and spread the good news of Jesus and HIs Father,--- there were few "Christians " remember when He ascended into Heaven and those who he had inspired here had to get busy quickly and spread the word, what a blessing and a gift they gave back then, sharing Christ and that is seen today in this program, how awesome that we can continue what God through his son Jesus wanted us to do, and it has a name (Alpha) and is a very good thing in these times as we pray for peace and for healing of division between people and for all to know the love of our Lord.

Next time I speak in public, I’m going to speak the Alpha/Disney way by practicing having a full smile while speaking. This is Protestantism hidden in a pretty package.

I love Nicky Gumley, he is a great speaker and teacher. An Atheist, Barrister and now Christian. Jesus chooses people who are from different backgrounds there are no favourites. "Blessed those who believe yet have not seen"....amen

I felt a strong pull to get closer with Jesus at the end of last year, so I reached out to my church and they suggested Alpha. The Alpha course was just perfect for me, it really answered so many questions and helped me feel like the Gospel is not off limits to me, and I am worthy to be included in the Christian discussions. I felt like I was welcome into the family of God. Before that I felt like I wasn't allowed in somehow, like I was an outsider to the church and I didn't know to get in. Alpha really helped me in that sense! I went in there just curious and wanted to explore Jesus, but I didn't expect what an enormous transformation Alpha would bring about in my life. The truth of the Gospel shared through the Alpha course really touched my heart permanently and now I identify as Christian, having recognized Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I will be baptized as soon as the pandemic lockdowns allow churches to offer it again (living in Ontario, Canada). I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on the Alpha team for making the Gospel so relatable, so understandable, so easy for people like me who feel like outsiders to get in and be part of the body of Christ. I was awful the other day to a load of teens at our pool. They were really out of order and I went ott. I still feel bad, as the friend that invited them was in tears after I finished, and it actually was the parents fault for dumping them all there. One mouthy girl was very rude. I wish I could chill out more. I thought of Elisha and the bears. I was so incensed I practically called down fire. Apart from that, as an artist myself, if I like something I generally go up close, make notes etc. It's a compliment. I remember you from the printmaking room at City and Guilds.

Alpha isn't Catholic

The Alpha Course is the work of Satan. This is my personal opinion from my experience of doing one (12 sessions). I have always been a christian but ive never been im not gonna say a liw level christian because you either arent or you are but i didnt go to church one day i started to go again and enjoyed. Our church was having a baptism week and my bro wanted to get baptised (because of what jesus had showed him on a church camp) i thaught about it then the same night i had a dream were jesus showed me a number of things like a better way to live but there was also a pool in the dream so i asked my gran what she thaught it meant she said it could be linked to baptism so i got baptised afterword it was amazing i felt like a compleatly changed boy.
