Why would they post this? It's not even representative and it's embarrassing.

I'm not sure if this really is the interpretation of tongues. The Word says that tongues is addressed to God, not men (1 Corinthians 14:2 and Acts 2:11). Shouldn't the interpretation, therefore, also be addressed to God? Whereas, prophecy is God addressing man (1 Corinthians 14:3) -- which is what may have been heard here.

That was NOT of God. The Holy Ghost does not disrupt the order of a service. That person was in the flesh!

The singer has a beautiful voice

I was praying one evening and started preying in tongues. I have never done that before and haven't since. It is when your spirit is truly praying in the spirit.

This was not an interpretation of tongues. The response to the speaking in tongues was more of a prophetic word. Tongues is spoken to God, so the interpretation of tongues would sound like someone speaking to God, not God speaking to man.

Tongues apparently are God's jibberish. The Bible is also too hard to understand (it need interpretation). In addition, God made it worse by the Tower of babble. Bottom line -- God seems to be very poor at communicating. So being -all-knowing is a sad excuse.

Sincere, exuberant, ecstatic utterances of incoherent, disconnected gibberish without grammar or syntax are the manifestations of false teaching, not the Holy Spirit. Fake tongues and fake interpretations are an embarrassment on the Church.

He failed to interpret the last part: "Don't forget Taco Tuesday! Raindrops! Rabbits! Butterflies! Hallelujah!"

He’s one of the best preachers I’ve ever heard and I’ve heard a lot of preachers

For years we apostolic people have had a dress code as to be decent and acceptable as upright to our communities. The military, offices, and other high profile positions REQUIRED their personnel to be clean shaven to present a nice image. That was the basis for our men to appear as godly and professional to society. My dad and EVERYONE else in our movement stood on this concept. My dad always asked the new converts to pray about it. Numerous men would start having skin issues because of their beard, after receiving the Holy Ghost and praying about it. They had to shave to get the skin issues cleared up! I personally think that we should be very careful in this falling away time to really give this issue prayerful consideration! Are we wanting to just blend in with society? Are we taking on things once laid aside? The bottom line is, what does our heart that has sought God say…not what the comments here say, our pastor says, wives say, people outside of the Apostolic community say, but God. It is our souls that need to seek out OUR OWN salvation with fear and trembling! It’s beards now, what will it be tomorrow? Draw a line and stay behind it! We can’t afford to start changing our ways now of all times. Prayer is so vital in our walk with God! May we all find mercy! 💙🤍

The gibberish and “interpretation” here, is a mockery of Acts 2:1-3. The Men were able to speak other ACTUAL languages, by the spirit. They didn’t just speak random, nonsensical sounds, like you hear in a Pentecostal church. Nor did ANYONE need one of them to stand up, and act as an interpreter.

I know it seems that everyone is gaga over this guy but it’s hard for me to feel the same way. The simple reason is because of an interaction I had with him many years ago when I was attending his little group in upstate NY. Without going into a lengthy description of what happened, I’ll simple quote what Mr. Stoneking said to me. The last words Mr. Stoneking ever said to me were these, “I’ve done a study on black people and they are just different.” The fact that he said it to me directly has given me a different view of this man. I can’t gush over anyone who harbors racist views. He never apologized to me or the black woman who stood next to me when the remarks were made. The reason for no apology is simple. He doesn’t care. Anyone questioning the veracity of what I’m saying can simply write to Mr. Stoneking and ask him. Just ask him if he ever spoke those words. If he denies it, then he is also a liar. All things eventually come to light. (A prophet? Hardly! A racist? I call it as I hear it. Standing in front of a black woman and making the statement that “black people are just different” qualifies as racist.)
